EBAY How is that for a name to shame

 In all of my listings I have links to my ebay store ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** and my webstore ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members**.
I have just had a bunch of listings removed for these links.
I don't have alot of time to list items at this time of year and I have to take time away from being with my kids to list items.
I know that you can have a link to your ebay store and If the jackass that removed my links would have researched the link to my webstore, he would have seen that it redirects you back to ebay for checkout. Even the person I spoke with at ebay live chat told me they should not have been removed. Live chat told me to respond to the alert so I did that. (I may be suspended for that email)
I tried to call but you can't talk to a real person.

Ebay has a deal that if you bring outside traffic to ebay and make a sale, you get some sort of discount. I pay search engines to bring traffic to ebay basically and this is how they repay me. Every item on my website redirects to ebay for item description and checkout.

Sorry for any typos, I'm too pissed to type. :x

I feel your pain.

I had an eBay store and account (powerseller) shut down. They removed listings just 30 minutes before closing for the exact same reason.
I complained about it, I said that was pushing the envelop. 1 hour later I got an email from eBay that account was closed for violation of their policies. This was irrevocable.

Now, when I have an issue with eBay, I bow, I thank, I appologize etc...

That sucks for sure.
I think its against ebay policy to mention any website in the direct listing. However you can sure make big huge links to your about me page where you can have links to your website

The stupid thing is that my ** Link Removed: Only Available to Registered Members** link that goes to my ebay store is also a violation. It says in the rules that you can have a link but only the ebay.stores.com/I'm not typing all that *censored*. EBAY CAN KISS MY ASS
I'll remove my link to my web store but
I don't care if they do suspend my account I'm not removing the link to my ebay store.

Thats rediculous. I've had similar problems. Have you thought about getting ebay's listing software? It automatically lists your products, all you do is design the listing and enter in your inventory. This software has saved me hours! All I do now is print the shipping labels.

That really sucks. I dont have any external links to my Ebay store at this time. I always wondered why I should give Ebay extra money. lol . Seems like they want all the traffic but forget about their main customers ... Us the sellers.

Ebay knows they are the only online auction site with the traffic to sell.

Can you send me some more info on the listing software?

switch to another auction site, we call ebay as feebay, and the name matches.

How To reinstate your suspended eBay account

Postby waynester*buyer » 02/05/2007 15:47

I know exactly how you all feel. I had three eBay accounts suspended at the same time. To this day, I do not know the reason why. They responded with the generic
violation of eBay policy.

BUT THERE IS HOPE - ALL THREE Were Reinstated

My first reaction was of shock, anger and bitterness toward eBay. This was an important income stream for me, by golly!

For those interested, I documented the steps I took in getting them reinstated. Here's the link of my successful steps...

THANKS WAYNE for your blog... I just got the same treatment... had an account that was really beginning to ROCK and my goal was to get powerseller. within 2 weeks i had 3 alerts pulling over 10 auctions per alert before they finally suspended me and sent me to appeals. one of the violations were over demilitarized military equipment (if someone can buy an empty LAW tube and make it work, more power to them) and the other was for copyright infringement. This one steams me... everything out there is something!!! how can i sell a sony, dewalt, nokia or anything else if i dont tell the other person what it is??? has this ever happened to anyone else and what is the best way around it?

next ebay topic... since my last post ive talked with 4 other people that i work with that ebay as a hobby. ALL OF THEM have had copyright infringement warnings and listings pulled because they described the items they were selling. is this the new policy for ebay or are corporations trying to intercept used goods because they keep us from buying new ones from their failing businesses, or is it a revenue boost for ebay because they keep your listing fee when they do it?? either way, if you cant sale an item on ebay because you cant describe it... isnt doom for ebay just around the corner?

You will more than likely find that the problem is either the way you spell the name, it has to be exact as the spelling of the copyright owner, and the other issue is are the products you describing authentic?

They are two ways to fall foul of ebay policies really quick, personally I have never had an issue with using the brands name in my description.

yes, the names were spelled dead on. one complaint was from heckler and koch for describing an airsoft gun being sold for parts as "MP5 like" which is how the original manufacturer described the product when it was sold by them. another one was selling a CHI hair straightener a guy had bought his wife that died of cancer before she got to use it so it was still new in the box. 2 of mine were pulled stating i couldnt sell anything Sony or a DVR I had bought retail at a CVS pharmacy I never wound up using, didnt have the receipt and figured id see what it would pull. out of the three, im the only one that called a customer service rep and was told (almost verbatim) "virtually any corporation has the right to request ebay stop a listing at any time" without question.
