Advice For Buying In Bulk From Departmant StoreI see a product that I want to sell that is already being sold in a department store. Is there any way I can negotiate a deal with the manager or company regarding buying the product in bulk to recieve a better deal?
You can give it a try, but you'd probably be better off ringing the manufacturer and asking who their wholesale suppliers are. That way you can get in touch with the wholesaler directly. Even if the department store was willing to strike a deal, it is unlikely the discount would be as good as a wholesaler would give you.
Yeah you can try but its pretty unlikely you can even buy from thier wholesaler as most department stores buy in massive volume to get thier wholesale prices. If its a small locallized store you might be able to find a decent wholesaler thru them.
Places like wal mart buy items in 50,000 + unit increments and have them shipped directly to thier distribution center. Then break them down and distribute them to thier stores. Jimmy
