I saw on Good Morning America that folks are already waiting in line outside the Toys R Us in Times Square for the little guy. I may make a trip to the local Wal-Mart tonight.

I honestly don't think you'll find it for less than retail, but there should still be plenty of profit left after you pay full price.

Really hard to get fisher price toys at wholesale. You need to buy in major bulk for that..and most vendors who have toys in stock are from last year models....that were liquidation sales or close outs! Your best bet is to puchase it now from targets or walmart..and resell it in Nov and Dec if and that's a big if.. it remains a hot item. You'll double your money for sure!

I'm glad I checked after my post this morning. I had it in my head that they were going to be released at midnight tonight, but they were actually in stores today. I cleaned out all of the local stores and wound up with 180 ($7000 worth) of them. They're going for $200+ on eBay right now, but I expect that will settle down to closer to $75 by tomorrow. I read a lot about them this evening and analysts are predicting major shortages before Christmas...hope so!

If that's the case..then BINGO major profit for you!..It's very hard to get new items wholesale for a small vendor..I know..I deal in toys. Here's a hint for you. Sell Worldwide if you sell on Ebay. Example I made a killing last year. Found out that outside of the US. Mattel doesn't stock all items. Customer purchased an item from me that runs about 29.00 in the states ..He paid 60.00 plus 40.00 to ship..It was crazy but he filled me in. They cant get all of Mattel items for Barbie where he lives ...and he needed it for Christmas for his daughter!

Oh and one more hint for you.....If it does Remain a hot item..Remember to leave some to sell the last week before christmas. Buyers will pay top dollar the last week just to have it under the tree..but dont save too many ..or else you'll be stuck with Elmo for the rest of the year...

I bought 6 and have some on Ebay right now. If I had more money I would of bough all 50 at target lol. Now they are sold out.

What I found is go to ebay buy them now for around 100 and sit on them to right before Xmas

They are expected back in some stores in the middle of October according to Targets and Walmart...was on the news tonight....

I wanted to share this...It's great...I'm sure some of you might know it..but for the ones who don't..here you go.....I just did a search on Ebay on Elmo TMX...I found one on Ebay for 39.99 with 6 hours to go with no bids...Why? how can that be? Well believe it or not..People typing up the auction made a mistake.....This person did not spell Elmo correct....They listed it as Emlo....Most people Do NOT check their spelling...So when buyers do a search for Elmo...This person's listing will not come up! So when doing a search next time.... Run the word in different ways of misspelling it.....Here's how the search should be done on Ebay In the search box. Lets Use Elmo for the example
(Ellmo,Emlo,Elmmo,Elno, Elmno)

You'll be surprised how many folks misspell the words in the title listing.....

Stores are still getting them in. The Wal-mart in my area got in 18 Monday and they were all gone within 10 min. I was able to fight for 2 of them!

Is there any were you can find out when the elmo's come in at walmarts in your area without calling every store?
