Ohk - thanks for your information.I am currently importing clothes but am keeping the total value of each shipment very low due to the threshold for domestically produced items being less than $500.
It's even worse for us Kiwis!On Friday, 19th September: 1.00 NZD = 0.828784 AUD
1.00 NZD = 0.686898 USDA few months ago 1.00 NZD was worth upwards of.90 AUD and
1.00 NZD was even at.
Cheers - this one states that goods which attract only GST
can be imported to a maximum value of $399 inc.freight
before the 'revenue collection threshold is crossed.'
However the threshold for clothing, footwear and other
dutiable goods is much lower.
Just checked the Salehoo Bonus Shipping Guide, it does say
$500 for NZ and $1000 for AUS.I really should have checked
that before posting but no worries. Thanks for your help!.
Thanks for both of your replies:) I will check the shipping download then call Customs if it's still unclear.
As long as you do your research and ask the suppliers questions, you can access some great deals. The main problem I have found is that the shipping costs are very expensive. However you can ask for a better deal for the shipping cost.
