I am after some feedback from anyone who has used/or is
currently using EBay stores. How does this compare to having
your own independent online store?I've evaluated just about
every shopping cart. Not a big fan of ProStores.Right now I
like X-cart.
You're missing the real value of Shopster.Don't use them to
setup your drop shipping business - use them to test your
ideas before you invest alot of time and money setting up
your real site.Use Shopster with a generic domain name (something like
beststuff.com, greatdeals.com, etc.).
First, pick one category of products.Sites that try to sell
everything do not do well (unless you're WalMart or Amazon).Second, electronics, computer gear, and DVDs are difficult
to sell profitably online. The markup on these items is
usually very small to begin with.
It depends on what forms you need. For example, if you want
to start an LLC or other business entity you might find an
online site very useful (I personally use one that's very
good - not sure if I can post it here without getting into
trouble).
Before you go too far you should really research the market
for new release fiction books. You're going up against major
competition (Amazon, BN, WalMart, etc.).They have
tremendous purchasing power.
