Meg Whitman, eBay’s former CEO is thinking of taking her fascination with politics a notch higher. Reports say that the highly respected queen of online auctions is thinking of running for California governor.
Whitman just recently resigned from the eBay board, as well as from those of Procter & Gamble and Dreamworks Animation SKG. She helped in Sen. John McCain’s failed bid for the US Presidency, holding an important position in the Republican Party. The experience may have fuelled her political aspirations.
A newcomer to politics, Whitman joined eBay more than 10 years ago, leading the startup to its eminent position as the leading e-commerce site, and building more than a billion dollars worth of stock.
The question we ask ourselves is, does she have enough muscle power to step into Arnie’s shoes?
