Paypal tyranny over: eBay adds new payment options

eBay intends to add two new payment options for its US-based customers. Starting February, buyers and sellers will be able to use Australia’s Paymate and the UK-based Moneybookers to complete online transactions

Last year, eBay scrapped checks and money order transactions and forced its community of sellers and buyers to use electronic services. These new options firm up the online auction giant’s commitment to its digital direction, and come as a welcome development, especially for those unfortunate sellers who’ve been burned by Paypal one too many times.

What are your thoughts on this development?

It is never good to give a company or a person total power over anything especially PayPal. I have been on internet marketing for years now and have heard too many people tell of how their funds were frozen and had to get lawyers to have their funds released only to find out it was not their error at all. Meanwhile PayPal gets to keep all the interest made on their funds. Most of us cannot afford lawyers so we have been very nervous about using PayPal on eBay. Thank you. e bay. p.s. many of my friends use pay pal and have not had an issue but many others have.
