I was viewing Sarah's youtube vid in which she uses Novatech. When I went to NovaTech in Salehoo search, I was left puzzled by the company description.
Minimum order but $500.00 for wholesale accounts. So is this the wrong wholesaler for beginning newbies like me without much in the name of cash flow?

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum,

Wholesale prices are based on volume purchases, the more you purchase, the cheaper per unit price you get (within reason of course) If you don't have any real budget to start off with, dropshipping might be the best option for you to consider. A dropshipping account doesn't rely on volume purchasing (like wholesale). Of course you don't get the same discount on price as you do with wholesale because you aren't buying in the same volume, so your margin will be much smaller, but it is a popular avenue to try for those starting on extremely limited budgets.

Cheers

Hi I'm Dale, and I am a newbee also. I was just on EnRoute Global and it sounded really great in the description on SaleHoo, but when I got there and signed in, I went to the drop shipping page and they were asking about $487.00 for a fee. Is that about average for some of these suppliers? Are there any free drop ship sites you can point me to?
Also, if I buy bulk from a drop shipper, aftrer I pay for my products, do they hold on to it or do they always ship to you, the reseller? Do the products come with outer packing boxes for mailing, or is that on the reseller also?

Hi Dale and welcome to the forum,

Not every drop shipper have such charges, but some do as you've seen. You really need to weigh the pros and cons between those that charge and those that offer free accounts. For example, product prices, service and such. It's becoming more common place for drop ship suppliers to have some form of charge, but we do have suppliers listed that do offer no account fees.

Regarding your second question, drop shipping really isn't about buying in bulk, that's a wholesale platform. Drop shipping is about you selling a product up front without paying for it in advance, then paying for it when you get the sale and the supplier sending it direct to your customer. Wholesale is buying in bulk and having the order sent to you, then breaking the load down and on-selling.

The one big advantage wholesale buying has over drop shipping is price, Because you are buying in bulk, you are getting a much better price than drop shipping, where you are buying an item at a time. Of course the negative is that you need the cash up front to buy in bulk from a wholesale supplier, where as you don't need a lot, if any cash flow up front, to deal with a drop shipper.

Cheers

Thanks Mark,
I do know what drop shipping is. After re-reading my post I see that I miss spoke.
One question you didn't answer for me is, when I buy in bulk, do they ship me my product along with individual shipping boxes, or is that another expense I need to consider?

That's really going to come down to the product and the supplier. For example, something like clothing may come individually wrapped or not, where as something like jewelry should come in individual packaging. It's best to discuss packing with the supplier before purchasing just so you know what is involved.

Cheers

Hi Mark, I was just wondering if Banggood.com is part of your SaleHoo family? I know that there are 8,000 suppliers listed on this site, but I am not sure how to search them on your site?
I am also wondering about other people that offer their services as suppliers in the here in the forum. Is anyone checking these folks out to make sure they are legit, or do they have to already be listed on your site to get in here and offer advice?
Thanks again,
Dale Hansen

Hi Dale,

Yes, BG is a fully verified supplier here on SaleHoo and just to confirm, only suppliers that pass our verification process are listed in our directory and are authorised to market to our members. Suppliers that do not pass our verification process have their application rejected and are not listed and are not permitted to market on the forum.

This link will assist with searching the directory for suppliers for you.

Hi Mark,
Here is an update! I just joined Park Flyers.com and they now charge $99.99 to join their drop ship program. At least that is what they charged me. I suggest you update your information about this supplier.
Thanks,
Dale
