Hello Everyone!

I am wondering if any of you have any background with 1abc closeouts? I signed up for their product list and it looks like they are actually owned by TDW Closeouts. I did a little research and looks like there is some people who think they are scammers. If anyone has had any experience with them please reply. I would be super grateful!

Hi Jacky

I'm not aware of 1abc, however it is common place for large liquidators to have multiple trading entities. TDW themselves have been around quite some time, and with most liquidation purchases, you'll always get some happy and some extremely unhappy customers.

People can be unhappy for a range of reasons, everything from not really understanding what it was they were ordering in the first place, broken items in the load (very common) right through to just dealing with a bad supplier.

Research is king when looking at buying from liquidators. You can't ever ask enough questions of them and if they are a good supplier, they won't hesitate to tell you not only what you ask, but also what they think you need to know.

I would suggest looking at BBB for the latest rating on TDW or this sister company, but if you want a recommendation of a supplier, I would say viatrading out of Califiornia.

Thanks for your reply!

I am definitely gonna keep researching 1abc. My main concenr is that they don't accept credit cards which makes me a little nervous.

Thanks for the tip on Via trading. I have looked into and they were one of my first choices because they are in CA and I am in OR.

Hmmm... I couldn't find either company on the BBB website. Wonder if I am doing something wrong?

Hi Jacky,

If you haven't you might want to check out the review/s in their profile -

But you have to also consider that everyone has a different opinion and level of satisfaction - so what may work for you may not necessarily work for them.

One of the best ways to get to know your supplier is by establishing an open line of communication - exchange emails or phone calls, visit them if possible. Observe how they respond and reply to your concerns.

Another liquidator that was also recommended on the forum is Titan Liquidation - Link hidden: Login to view

Hope this helps :)

I used to be a big customer of TDW's and was always satisfied. I have seen a number of people on RipoffReport.com and other places complaining about them, and almost never see any good anymore -- so it's possible that the quality of the service has gone down (overall, I think that the quality of pallet sales has plummeted since 2005-06 or so, since pallets became commoditised by the online selling business [thanks Salehoo! j/k:87422e2e])

Again though, it's been a while since I've dealt with them, but I did on into seven figures of purchases from them between the late 1990s and 2004, and had a brief rekindling in 2006-08, and was always satisfied. The only reason I stopped using them was that I exited the main niche they were supplying for me.
