Are there drop shippers or wholesalers that do not require people to have a resellers licence or tax i. d. . I started a small bussness account at a bank in town . I was the only one so even though i have checks with my and company name i am not sure it was all done right. As a sole perpritor i do not know what i have to do to make sure everything is legal . Thank you for any advise anyone can offer. I need an extra 500.00 per month but do not want any tax problems again Thank you

As a general rule, drop shippers won't require a tax id, but genuine wholesalers will. Of course when you buy wholesale, you buy in volume and pay less per item because of it, so wholesalers do require an account.

In regards to being a SP, that's straight forward. Just keep all your tax records nice and clean, and that's it. Always a good idea to speak with an accountant in setting up any business, so I would suggest that be your next step and they will be able to inform you of your taxation responsibilities.

Good luck with the new venture!

Here are a few to try from my own list of favorites.

The way I found these was to go to a category in the directory and open it. You will find the basic information for each supplier including the contents of your question. Hope this helps.

Hi sobtjr,

Welcome to SaleHoo! You can actually filter the supplier search to those not requiring any Tax ID. Below the green search tab just click on More Options link and set this filter. If you can let us know what products you need drop shippers for we can help gather a list for you. :)

Hello and welcome to SaleHoo, sobtjr :)

Marc's right about everything being pretty simple when your business structure is Sole proprietorship. It requires little legal structure and allows you to take advantage of tax benefits. It works very well for a one-man operation working from home. However, you are held personally responsible for anything that might go wrong and there is no scalability.

All the best!
