What is pallet shipping?

Not sure if this goes here, but can someone explain pallet shipping to me? I came across a really good deal for some items and it says PALLET 465lbs per lot.

I've heard that when things are shipped by 'pallet' it's a lot. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.
