Quiten Pillow (aka: Kyle m, the 'urappleguy') - SCAM!

I purchased 10 apple phones as a test. I did not get the phones nor did I get my money back. I checked his bank, got his social security number, address, cross-checked against a scam file, got photos of the product, cross-checked the IEMI numbers, and still I got burned.

The best advice I can give fellow members is:

1) If wholesalers don't give testimonials...tell them to fu#$%!
2) If they are not willing to charge a test order through PayPal...tell them to fu#$%!
3) If there phone, website, and banking information does not match...tell them to fu#$%!

If you can't find a wholeseller in 2-weeks of looking...they don't exist. I have only found one solid wholersaler out of 30 wholesaalers in the cell phone markat (and that's Red Hare from Hong Kong).

I am comming to a conclusing that I may not sell cell phones, since 99.9% of every wholerseller on the planet is a scammer!!!!

Hello John

Sorry to hear of your misfortune :( But thanks for turning it to something by sharing it with our members and make with aware that this guy is a scammer!

By the way, where did you find this supplier. I am definitely sure he is NOT listed in our directory as we only add those that pass our rigorous standards.

Here are some simple things you can do to protect yourself when dealing with any supplier (especially those found outside of SaleHoo).

1. Run a whois check on the supplier's website to verify when it was created (it is safest to deal with suppliers who have been online for at least two years), who owns the domain, and where the domain was registered (the country should match the contact details on the supplier's website).

2. Search the SaleHoo forum for the supplier's website/company name and see what other members have to say.

3. Call the supplier's telephone numbers to ensure they are genuine. Check that their email address is domain based and not from some free account like gmail, yahoo or hotmail...............

4. Purchase a sample before bulk ordering to ensure that the item meets your expectations.

5. Watch out for sellers asking you to "safeguard" your purchase by sending your money transfer in the name of a friend or loved one, or by establishing a "test question". These actions will not protect you from a fraudulent seller.

6. Low prices do not necessarily mean fraud, but radically low prices should warrant a closer look. If a price seems to good to be true, it probably is. Ask the seller as many questions about the item's authenticity as you can before you go any further.

7. Always use a credit card or PayPal to purchase goods. These forms of payment are safe because they give you a comeback if something goes wrong. With these payment methods, you can usually have the transaction reversed fairly easily if necessary.

Hope that helps. If you need any further assistance please let me know :)

Sorry for your misfortune John, but as Richelle said, thanks for sharing that. It's unfortunate, but experiences like that are what all of our members can learn from, so your post is providing a service for all.

From my research of checking cell phone wholesalers, I believe that 99.9% of all of them are criminals!!! They do not want to give testimonials. They don't want to check EIMI numbers with Apple (since the phones are locked, the wrong Gega-bytes, or registered to other people), and most important they do not want payment through PayPal or a Bank credit card.

So I have taken on another product line, which I am very happy with the manufactures and master wholesalers.
