Hi,

I am a new member here. Can I sell brand name products in eBay such as Nike, Puma, etc. If prohibited then how come others can sell there?

Hi hopesuccess,

Of course you can. :) You can sell designer/branded goods if you are licensed to do so by the parent company. You also have legal rights to resell branded items if you purchased them from a liquidator or a major department store, all licensed to sell / distribute these branded products. To prove that the items you are selling are purchased from an authorized seller or liquidator, you can request for an invoice and show a photo of such receipt in the eBay auction listing.

License holders protect their copyright only through distribution. If the genuine item you have is not sourced through its legal distribution channel, it ‘ceases’ to be genuine, it becomes counterfeit. Once eBay questions your goods suspecting that they are not genuine, you need to provide evidence that you have bought those items through a legitimate, licensed distribution channel.

Hope this helps and welcome to SaleHoo! :)

Hi hopesuccess,

Try these suppliers :) As I have mentioned, brand name products can be legitimately sourced from liquidators.

Request that they provide you with a proof of authenticity for their products, as most brand name items come with official paperwork for the resale of these items.

All our suppliers offer safe payment methods, so if the product you order is anything less than you expected, you are able to get your money back easily.

And kindly leave a review to let us know how you got on. :)

So, I am just starting out, how do I go about finding products to sell and not get in trouble with the law. I guess I dont understand. Are you saying everything I buy from a wholesaler and try to resell, I have to have a licence or have legal rights to resell?? Could you please explain, because if that is the case, I dont know if this is all worth it. Hopefully I just misunderstood.

Thanks,
