Are there any "recent" wholesale jewelers that provide better higher quality stuff than china? I have found some very nice rings that are 925 silver and platinum plated on eBay for about $7-$10. They seem high quality and looking at the feedback as well looks pretty good.

Looking for rings, engagement rings with good quality cubic zicronia and sterling silver that's platinum plated.

Any help is appreciated, thanks

Hello marsbars89!

Have you tried searching on our database?

If you can't find what you are looking for there, I'll be happy to help you search for suppliers outside our database. It will take a while, so please check this thread again on Wednesday.

Please do add a picture to your profile, we want to know our members better and what better way to get to know a person than having a face to go with the name :-)

Hi Marilou, thanks for the reply. I have checked the database, thanks.
I haven't been able to find what I'm looking for. One company I liked is J.Goodin, but they have not replied to my e-mail yet.....I don't know how I can start doing business with people who simply don't reply. I mean, I am an experienced online enterpeneur as well. It's not like I'm begging them to help me start my business.

Anyway, I've seen many "crappy" jewelry that I'm not interested in selling. The ones I'm more interested in are jewelry like:

These types of qualities.

$7-$10 on a nice sterling silver CZ ring with platinum plate. And this person must get it for cheaper because they are obviously making some profit. Less is more as I always say. Inexpensive jewelry is aimed at all audiences at any budget. I'm not really interested in selling jewelry over $75 or so.

If anyone can help me would really appreciate it, thanks again!

Thanks for the help and support but you know what, this is pointless! Every supplier I have contacted on this directory has never contacted me back! And the prices for most of the suppliers are that on eBay which sellers are selling for to the public!

$7.00 for a ring he must get it for about $2.00 and they are nice quality too! Still not able to find a decent supplier, google sucks

J.Goodin, The Silver Box and a few others, they NEVER got back to me! What kind of businesses are these? And besides that their prices are still retail, they are most probably a middle man! How can people find these rings for a few bucks? I dont get it. I've worked hard enough to find them but I cant anymore

I truly understand your frustrations, marsbars89 :(

But you must also understand that eBay is a more of a wholesale platform than retail. That is why oftentimes sellers will get deeply disappointed when they source for products and use the prices they see on eBay as their basis of comparison.

eBay has become an extremely competitive marketplace and it is not uncommon to find products selling at prices the same as or lower than wholesale. How can this be? Lots of wholesalers sell on eBay directly to the public! Unfair yes, but its the reality.

You can try selling on other auction sites other than eBay – there are heaps to choose from and profit margins are usually better. Craigslist is also a good place to sell if you live in the USA. (Let us know if you need more suggestions for places to sell online)

Or try buying liquidated products – this lets you get product for pennies on the dollar. This is how lots of powersellers make money on eBay these days.

Also finding a niche market with few competitors like collectibles and one-off items have amazing profit margins, even on eBay. These days, you have to be pretty savvy to survive on eBay, so I hope we’ve given you some ideas.

With regards to suppliers not responding, you can try calling them as the phone is often a much more effective way of contacting suppliers than email. Suppliers often have a backlog of support emails to deal with, so it may take a few days for them to get back to you. Whereas with phone, you get priority straight away.

If the supplier/s still haven't contacted you after 3 business days, please email us their name, email address, and URL so that we can follow up.

Hope this helps :)
