I am a new member to SaleHoo, so perhaps I am looking in the wrong place, though I've done a few searches and compared my findings with what I see in screen shots.

When I click on a supplier I see "Meets SaleHoo Trust Requirements"

and the following text:

New! In-depth supplier review coming soon....

However I never see any member reviews? Can someone please direct me to where I can find the member reviews?
I've done some tutorials but the screen shots in the tutorials show Member Reviews (Usualy Stating ## Salehoo Reviews).

I have also looked up the "Meets SaleHoo Trust Requirements" but I can't find what those criteria are...

I'd feel much more comfortable working with a supplier knowing there are a certain number of reviews from members rather than just a review from Salehoo.

Thanks for the help!

Danielle

Hi Danielle and welcome to the forum

Our Members Reviews feature is no longer active. Just to confirm, all suppliers featured in our directory have undergone and passed our verification process.

Well, the information I received prior to sign up is misleading! I purchased my subscription through Wholesale Ted, and they stated that ALL suppliers had a members review section! It also stated that you could do individual searches for products you wanted to sell through your market research lab, but instead, your lab has a short list of recommended products to sell! There is NO search bar to input a particular item that you want to do market research on. This was my MAIN reason for purchasing a membership.

I have spoken to admin regarding your issues and have the following response

Regarding the Research Lab
This is one of the major changes with the new lab. The research button has been removed as most people were searching for products that were too generic, leaving them with results that weren't as accurate as they should be. We're looking for alternative ways to reintroduce this currently, but there's no ETA at this time.

The new Labs also provides much faster data analysis compared to the old version.

Now I have tested the lab myself and definitely isn't working at full capacity, so I have informed admin of this and they are going to speak to the developers. So I'll let you know how that unfolds.

Admin would also like the page link that is displaying the out dated information so we can get that corrected and up to date asap.

Cheers

@danimartineau Yes we used to feature member reviews. But we have recently updated our supplier profile pages and member reviews have been removed and instead replaced by a Supplier Snapshot which features detailed, in-depth reviews to help you decide whether a supplier is suitable for you. Please be assured that we take a number of steps to ensure that suppliers meet our rigorous standards before they are added to the database.

* All our wholesalers must meet minimum standards of service. Most notably, we insist that suppliers provide secure payment methods so that in the unlikely event of something going wrong, members can always get their money back.

* We make anonymous purchases from all our suppliers and then rate them on price, speed, quality and service.

* Our three-tiered review system means that you don't only get our opinion on a supplier - you also get ratings from other SaleHoo members and independent eBay powersellers! You don't need to take just our word for it... find out what everyone else is saying, and judge for yourself.

Here are some simple things we look into or carry when screening supplier applications -

- Run a whois check on the supplier's website to verify when it was created (it is safest to deal with suppliers who have been online for at least two years), who owns the domain, and where the domain was registered (the country should match the contact details on the supplier's website). We recommend using Link hidden: Login to view (replace salehoo.com with the url of the supplier).
- Call the supplier's telephone numbers to ensure they are genuine.
- Purchase a sample before bulk ordering to ensure that the item meets your expectations.
- Low prices do not necessarily mean fraud, but radically low prices should warrant a closer look. If a price seems to good to be true, it probably is. Ask the seller as many questions about the item's authenticity as you can before you go any further.
- Always make sure the supplier accepts safe payments like a credit card or Paypal to purchase goods. These forms of payment are safe because they give you a comeback if something goes wrong. With these payment methods, you can usually have the transaction reversed fairly easily if necessary.

Also, you can always post here: Link hidden: Login to view and ask other members if they have any feedback or experience with the supplier you want to do business with.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me directly :) Cheers!
