You have to use becket if you want a true card value evaluation. They hold the standards in assertaining the value of sports cards.

One of my kids collects baseball cards and several shop owners refered us to them.

Also look on ebay it will tell you if you have a hot item - i used to own a sportscard business-Beckett is usually a month behind so if something gets hot it will not reflect it - also if you have anything over 20 years old that is gem mint sometimes the price can be alot more than becketts high side depends on the player of course .good luck .

I have alot of Lebron James cards. I thought of starting all out for a penny and see what happens. I should recieve cards this week. Is there a book I can go to the store and buy?

Would you mind if I pm you if I have any questions on certain cards?

Should I even bother with the book or just use ebay?

I even thought about starting every card out at a penny and see what happens.

i would do ebay - that is where you are going to sell them .the starting at a penny is good also but just make sure you wont loose money if they dont sell .
