Wholesale supplier for designer inspired handbags in Australia needed

Hi All,
i am looking to either import via dhgate,alibaba or buy wholesale in Australia,i would like to source leather handbags,i do not want copies!
The type of bags i would like are designer inspired but have no brand names on them or require a label/tag or any form of logo of any designer.I live in Sydney any suggestions? Thankyou!!

When you say designer inspired, do you mean exact replicas, just no branding?

If so I would say that you are looking in the right places having mentioned those two gateways, you would just need to find a reliable manufacturer to do business with.

I must admit that I don't know the exact laws that govern piracy, for example: is a replica bag classed as a fake only because it is branded, or does the original designer hold any copyright over the design itself.

Very interesting, hopefully someone here will be able to answer that one. I for one would be very interested in knowing the answer to that.

My main issue is buying from a supplier in China as they are 99% copies or fakes! or am i wrong.I have been in touch with a few but when it comes to it (after many times of asking are they branded or copies) they finally admit that they are branded.
All i want is a decent supplier of funky designed handbags that have been inspired by the big brands but not ripped them off by putting their stamp all over them HELP!

I can tell you that the opnion you have formed through your reasearch so far is spot on, with one exception.....it's not 99% are fakes, it's the full monty....100%. No one is authorised to sell branded items other than those licenced to sell through the copyright licence holding companies distribution network.

You're definitely looking in the right area. It should be quite simple to arrange for a shipment of these bags without the tags and any copyright branding, if you are sure that there is no copyright breach on design.

Just talk to a few suppliers of fakes and tell them what you need, they will fall over themselves to furnish your requirements.

Have you considered buying liquidated stock of genuine designer bags, might be an avenue to take a look at because you will be buying at about the same price as a new fake in most cases, and you will have the genuine article for sale.

I have tried the liquidaters but they are all based in the USA and the shipping costs are pretty steep (as i live in Sydney)but its still worth persuing its a shame there are no liquidaters in Australia!

Ahhh, Sydney, sorry, would not have suggested liquidation if I knew you were here in Oz. I know a lot of people wish that we had a liquidation market like the states, but unfortunately our retail market doesn't cater for it.

We do of course have liquidation auctions, but that is a case of everything getting sold on the day, or very soon after.

It's probably the kind of product that you are going to be stuck with shipping fees where ever you source from, because I doubt if you will find them here in any great number.

I'm currently having a conversation on another thread in the forum about Brazil being an undervalued resource for exports, so maybe that is another market you could look into if you end up importing.

I can give you the members id if you want to PM, he might be able to give you some further insight into that market.

I would really appreciate any info you may have for me thankyou so much.
I have just ordered some samples from China for the cost of an arm and a leg but its better than ordering large quantities and being stuck with rubbish, i will see how they turn out (fingers crossed) and get the ball rolling for a larger shipment
