Companies who require a tax id and reseller's license?

    Companies who require a tax id and reseller's license?

    With regards to the manufacturers/distributors/wholesalers/etc.. who require a tax id and reseller's license; do they require companies to be establsihed for an 'X' amount of time before they will do business with you or will many still work with you as long as you are legit and provide the right documentation?

    Hi markdownfrenzy,

    Actually these suppliers require either or both a tax id and reseller's license as a proof that you are a legit business yourself. Some may require that you to in business for a certain number of years but then again this factor will greatly vary from one supplier to the next.

    This is usually a sign that the supplier themselves are very legit as well.

    Some will also require that you have a legit off-line shop, not just an on-line distribution. These will usually be situations where the brand name holder does their own wholesale distribution, independent wholesalers won't care.
