There was a couple of failed attempts many moons ago, since then there is always a bit a chatter about it, but never enough interest in getting anything like it off the ground.Marc Ransom

Yes, I do remember some posts from members looking for investment partners, but there wasn’t anything formed that we are aware of, or of those at least announced in the forum. Also, you need to exercise extreme caution in pursuing this kind of undertaking, and make sure you will be dealing with trustworthy individuals. Just my quick advice. :)Irene

great idea in principal however lets say a consortium of buyers pool together to purchase a lot of PS3's or left handed screwdrivers etc. Those buyers then flood the market with these items and end up competing against each other driving the price down. Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree here but it seems like economics 101 to me.

That's a good point topbloke. My other concern would be the whole trust factor. Who's dividing the shares of goods, what happens with damaged items, etc, etc........

Not a good idea mates. Two is normally the most one wants to enter a partnership with. Each then only has one risk partner.
