DH Gate - Would it be safe to buy memory cards there?

I've heard so many bad things about dhgate, like fake clothes and phones but i was wondering if it would be ok to buy memory cards from them. I checked the feedback of a supplier and it was 100% positive so i really don't no what to think now. -

Most of what you've heard in relation to bsuiness's on DH Gate are most likely true when it comes to branded items. General rule of thumb if you want to stay safe, don't buy branded anything from China!
You say this particular seller has good back, what feedback are you referring to, that on the site itself or some other review?Marc Ransom

Everything you've read and everything that fudjj has said in this post is pretty much true!
I guess if the memory card you are planning to buy is not branded then it should be fine to proceed with your plan but if they are advertised as branded like Sony then I would say forget about it. DH Gates is a directory of Chinese suppliers - amidst the negative reviews, we have decided to keep them in our (SaleHoo) directory since they can be a pretty good source for generic items. And there is a good market for none-branded products.
Do a sample/test buy and see how things turn out. Make sure you do all transactions on DH Gate, avoid doing off DH Gate transactions otherwise you will not be protected by escrow. At all costs avoid sellers that ask you to go to their personal sites, unless you have done several business transactions with the particular supplier and could say you know them fairly well.

@fudjj: I think bayside23 is referring to the seller reviews/rating which you can find on DH Gate, almost like the seller feedback scores on eBay :)

I would avoid buying any drives from dhgate.com. They are most likely to be false capacity memory sticks. If you google "fake usb memory" you will get so many horror stories about them. Some sellers refer to them as ''upgraded memory cards''

dont buy memory cards from dhgate suppliers
they will be 100% fake, and just branded as sandisk etc
i have seen the fakes from a supplier, with stickers stuck on incorrectly etc.
i repeat, DO NOT BUY memory cards from them
they maybe able to sell u 16gb cards for a nice profit, and u think oh cool, i will make money from it.. but i am sure it will only get returned back to u..
in fact i would stay away from DHGATE altogether.. i had a recent bad experience with DHGate themselves and a supplier on it
to me DHGATE backs the suppliers 100% not matter what the case. -

I think we have always warned our members about buying branded products on DH Gate as well as other Chinese sites. It's just not feasible to buy any brand name items from any Chinese supplier.
But we have decided to keep them in our directory since there are good suppliers in there for generic or no-brand items - provided you do your research. In fact we have several members who have mentioned in other posts about their positive experience in finding a good supplier in DH Gate.
It would be nice if you could add your experience as a review on DH gate's profile. And if you can recall the supplier you dealt with maybe you can mention their name so others may avoid them too!

im sure there are good genuine suppliers on dhgate, but dont buy electronics from their and dvds
all dvds are pirated, regarldess of what they tell you.
even though you report it to dhgate, they do SFA about it...
i have given up on it. -

TRUE! I agree, there are good sellers on DH Gate but one has to do necessary research to find them :)
all dvds are pirated, regarldess of what they tell you.
And yes never buy branded products and DVD's on DH Gate unless you are in the market for counterfeit items.
But if you are looking for mass produced unbranded products they are a viable option along with the many other China based suppliers listed in the directory.

Well i thought i'd go ahead and buy a small amount from dhgate, the supplier had a good feedback and the id was shijiebei2011. I bought 32gb micro sd memory cards with adapters. After hearing everything about this site i decided not to buy branded items but when they arrived they had obvious fake sandisk stickers on and after checking through them half the adapters didn't fit into my camera or computer. My only complaint about the actual memory cards was they work with everything but mobile phones, which wouldn't be a problem if all the adapters worked.
If anyone has thoughts about buying memory cards from dhgate please stay away. -

From experience never buy branded merchandise, movies, computer items or electronics from china. They are fakes and they do nt work half the time. It is a good way to get kicked off ebay -
