SaleHoo is an online directory of wholesalers, manufacturers, liquidators and dropshippers, created to serve the needs of eBay sellers and other online traders looking for goods to sell.
The directory is easy to browse and search, and has been designed to provide buyers with unbiased information about sellers: A user rating system allows buyers to leave reviews, and new verification measures ensure that contact details are accurate and up-to-date.
Since 2005 SaleHoo has grown to provide a "one-stop-shop" for online sellers. In addition to the directory, SaleHoo now offers comprehensive training materials, covering all topics from choosing a product to sell, right through to tax and import duties.
SaleHoo also includes one of the largest wholesale discussion forums on the internet, where members can seek advice from other traders, and where suppliers can offer special deals to forum users. The forum is overseen by SaleHoo Community Manager, Marc Ransom.
In March 2010 SaleHoo added the SaleHoo Research Labs to the SaleHoo site: A facility that uses data from eBay and other sources to offer averages, comparisons and projections of product popularity and profitability. This was created to address one of the key issues confronting new sellers: The simple question of what to sell!
Together with SaleHoo's education resources and advice from the forum, and the supplier directory itself, the SaleHoo Research Labs complete an offering which provides support, resources and information to sellers from the very conception of their idea, right the way through to the successful growth and expansion of an online business.
SaleHoo was established in 2005 by New Zealanders Simon Slade and Mark Ling, and is headquartered in Christchurch, New Zealand. It employs 29 staff, and has close ties with a number of eBay powersellers who contribute to content and supplier reviews. SaleHoo has staff in Australia, Europe, the US and Asia, and was named one of the 50 fastest growing companies in New Zealand.
