The only way you could make money with them is if you opened a fresh ebay account so you wouldn't damage your present one.
Open a store and list everything DOBA has. Just list like crazy. Mark everything up so you make 2 to 5 bucks each item.
List about a thousand items. This will cost you 60$ a month in eBay fees. Plus 16 for the store. Make sure to use an eBay fees calculator to ensure you make money on each item.
Crop some HTML into the DOBA HTML field so the listing will look half way decent when you upload. SOme sort of template.
The goal is to sell through volume.
Then list your store to google with google upload SW
Its called google base.
Keep listing until you have about 5000 items uploaded.
Then keep listing more until you reach about 10,000 items.
Promote with items you know you'll lose on. Start them at .99 auction . Use hot selling items
like PS3 games or hot movies that you buy from the local store or cheaper if you can get them elsewhere.
Expect to lose on these items but on every one direct buyers to your store. See you want items that will get a lot of hits per item. like 100 or 200 hits.
You'll need about 10,000 people to look at your.99 auction items over a 6 month period.
So that way possibly a large % of the 10,000 will look at your store.
Buyers are concerned about price but thats not the only reason they buy. A lot of buying is impulse buying.
You want thousands of people looking at your store on a monthly basis.
Disclaimer: I haven't done this. I had an account with DOBA and canceled because of the reasons most others state. The markup isn't there.
But I feel it could be done if your willing to put in about a month of your time. And you will spend about 500 of your own money with all fees and membership costs.
