Here's the funny part about me being pissed off. I started selling the Chanel sunglasses on Ebay from that website: Link hidden: Login to view, and I thought I would start off posting just one pair(Chanel Mother of Pearl), just to see if someone would actually buy them. I made up the description to sound really good and stressed to people that these were the real authentic chanel sunglasses. The next day someone bought them for what I was selling them for($195.00+$14.95S&H=$209.95). I thought wow, that was easy. So I started posting more of them. I posted 10 of them in all. The money I made from the first pair was sent to my paypal account, and since I didn't have much money in my checking account, I had to wait until the money was transferred from my paypal account to my checking account, and then pay the wholesaler so he can then ship the item off to the customer. I spoke with the man from the fashionwholsaler website the same night I made the sale, and he stressed to me that these were real authentic chanel sunglasses, and that is what made me want to keep selling them. I only started selling them because of a previous post from designerthriftshop who is a member here on salehoo who told everyone that he had purchased sunglasses from this company and they were legit. Anyhoo, As soon as the first payment came through to my checking account, I sent fashionwholsaler their first payment of ($139.00+$15.00S&H), and told him to go ahead and ship out the item(this was done through email, because now he wasn't picking up his phone like he normally did). Later on that day, Ebay suspended my account saying that I am trademark ifringing and that the items I have posted are fakes or replicas and they're policy does not allow that. This made me mad, because now all my listings were closed and trust me, I had high bids on every single sunglasses. 3 people actually clicked the Buy It Now and paid for their item directly through paypal. I started really getting suspicious about these Chanel sunglasses. So I went back to salehoo to see if there were any new posts, and what do you know...it was. A salehoo member named chadster wrote this: HERE'S MY STORY FROM FASHIONWHOLEALERS.CITYMAX.COM. AS FAR AS BUYING CHANEL SUNGLASSES: (I CAN'T VOUCH FOR ANY OTHER PRODUCT).....THEY ARE REPLICAS/FAKES. THE CHANEL 'CE' SHOULD BE A LARGER FONT THAN THE REST OF THE FONT. I GOT SWINDLED BY THEM AND WENT TO NORDSTROM TO LOOK AT THE REAL ONES AND THERE IS A BIG QUALITY DIFFERENCE IN THE FONT PRINT AND QUALITY. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

ALSO, IF YOU LOOK AT 'FASHIONWHOLESALERS2U' AS IS THEIR EBAY ID, THEY SAY THEY ARE AUTHENTIC BUT THEY WON'T GIVE YOU MONEY BACK... THEY'LL ONLY GIVE YOU STORE CREDIT SO YOU CAN GET ANOTHER PAIR OF FAKE CHANEL'S.

WHEN I CONFRONTED THEM ABOUT THE FAKE GLASSES AND ASKED FOR A REFUND (IF THEY WERE TRULY AUTHENTIC THEY WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM TAKING THEM BACK AND SELLING THEM AGAIN SINCE MANY AUTHENTIC SELLERS ON EBAY WILL) THEY TOLD ME TO 'GO TO HELL'. YOU CAN DECIDE FOR YOURSELF IF THIS IS THE KIND OF COMPANY YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH......

When I saw this I felt PLAYED. So soon after, I called fashionwholsalers...no answer(of course). SO I emailed him and told him that i have heard too many negative stories about his products being replicas, and I requested a full refund of the $154.99 I had sent him earlier. The good thing is, I have already sent one customer a refund of their money back. I will be sending another customer their refund right back as soon as it goes into my checking account. fashionwholsaler has 3/4 of the 3rd customers money, so if they do the right thing in sending it back to me, I can go ahead and send the 3rd person their money. I am so glad I didn't send all 3 payments to him, otherwise I would have been out of exactly $629.97(that is if he decided not to send the money back). it's ashame how people can con you when all you're trying to do is make an honest dollar. You know what the sad part about all this is: Everytime someone talks about the website fashionwholesalers.citymax.com, do you notice how designerthriftshop is always the first one to respond to their question and how he is always giving this website high praises. Makes me think that he is either the man behind all of this or he is in with it. Watch him. He seems to be a snake in the grass. I don't believe anything he says now!

That sucks man, but yes, there are a lot of scammers out there including some on this website. I'm not saying that guy is one of them, but you definitely have to do your research.

This is the main reason I have a sticky posted discouraging people from attemtping to sell designer items. You just cant tell whats fake and whats not anymore.

Ok since you all are bashing me pretty well I wanted to respond. First of all if these sunglasses are not authentic then he certainly pulled the wool over my eyes! Maybe I am just really dumb but I could not tell the difference. So I am truly sorry that I said they were.

Yesterday I read all the negative posts about fashionwholers & got a great big knot in my stomach. NO I AM DEFINITELY NOT IN CAHOOTS WITH THEM! I am not so sure I'll do business with him aymore. I never sold any of the items I got from him on eBay because I know how strict the copyright laws are there but I did sell through my own website.

I do have another order pending with them right now. You know, if people want to buy replicas & you represent them to be replicas then you are just trying to make an honest buck. I know he is trying to pull a fast one!

So again I want to apologize to everyone. I really did think I had found a legit supplier of authentic sunglasses.

Im not certain if anyone actually bashing you aside from the OP, but your storys are not a unfamiliar story. Many people buy items thought to be authentic and end up having severe problems later on. Even the sellers have no clue whats authentic or not. That site could even be told the same story as you by the people that they are buying from. There are several websites that sell items they think to be authentic. But they are selling fakes thinking they are replicas.

In my point of view the only way you can get true authentic items is by buying into liquidations. These are items the Retailers bought direct. Couldnt sell in thier stores or used them for display only and then dropped them into thier liquidations.

I personally discourage the purchase of any said Authentic designer items mainly for this very reason. Its too risky and the profit is not worth the headache.

I myself would rather buy a liquidation truckload or pallet and sell an Item I paid 5 or 6 dollars for over $50 or $100 Bucks.

Were not bashing you. We know how much this sucks for you because some of us have been down the very same road. The only thing you can do it deal with it in the best way you can and brush yourself off. Get back up and get out there and try again.

Does anyone know how to research this company from a legal stand point? I have high hopes of doing business, but I'm not stupid either. I've made a 'small' investment, and it is not going so smoothly---but I'll give them the benefit, for now.

HI Matt. I just responded to your PM. And let me say this to all of you out ther that think I am a snake in the grass. I am not doing business with fashionwholers ever again. I am not working for them in any way shape or form either!

I've found other suppliers for replica products (they're a dime a dozen) and am revamping my website to reflect the changes. If you want to take a look at it then follow the link with my signature. There is certainly a market out there for those must have items & I don't think people care that much about replica stuff.

Listen people, I have made a ton of money selling authentic handbags. It's a extremely hard market to do business in. First and foremost you must remember that there are absolutely NO designer companies that sell their products WHOLESALE. NONE. I know this to be fact because I have spoken with most of the major handbag front office reps. You can buy, and I stated this many time in this forum, designer bags at discounted prices..Sometimes you can get lucky and find a few from some liquidators, but not very often..

This is the way it works....Major dept stores first discount end of season, and end of style bags (or goods) at their stores. They normally only do this for a few weeks. Next they have two options..they can either sell the out of date bags (or goods)to an 'authorized' liquidator, which is most often a liquidator who has struck a deal with the parent company (designer company) or they can ship the bags (or goods)back to the parent company (such as Channel). Most often they ship the bags and goods back to Channel, or whatever designer brand it is. Then the parent company looks at the bags (or goods). If the bags or goods are in good shape, they ship them to the 'factory outlets' for their brand. You've all seen the designer outlets normally located in the mini-malls. The rest of the bags and goods that did not make the cut are destroyed...

OK. The next problem is that even at factory outlets and at discount, the bags and goods still draw a hefty price..Normally the discount is around 40% off. I have found them as much as 60% off for the really old styles. But if you take into account that a new style bag can cost upwards of $1000.00 or better, even at discount you are going to pay a high price for an authentic bag....This being the case it's very hard to make any type of sustainable profit when trying to sell these types of goods on places like ebay...And even when you do luck out and get some bags and items at a cost where you can make a profit, normally some other seller with hit the report button and have your auction pulled for no reason other than to help cut their competion..And as most of you know, ebay has a 'shoot first, ask questions later' policy when it comes to matters of vero....

Next problem. Even when you legitimately buy a designer bag or sunglasses or whatever designer item (and thus can leagally resale that bag or item under the 'first right of sale' law) you are still refrained by copyright from using any stock images, descriptions and such that may belong to the parent company..

And Channel protects their products even more vigorously that does Louis Vuitton..If you do not hold a master licence, or sub licence, and they see you selling their product, they will harrass you to no end. And though you have the right to sale that authentic bag or item under the 'first right of sale' law, most people will not have the resources it takes to hire a lawyer and fight their cause. The designer companies know this and use it to their advantage...

That being said, if you do wish to sell designer goods, then make sure you are standing on legal ground by purchasing authentic goods.The very first thing you should do is to ask the provider to provide a 'sanitized invoice'. This will prove that the bag is authentic and will have the correct contact info where you can check if the item came from an authorized source...If the seller starts giving excuses about why they cannot provide this invoice, then he is basically telling you that the bags or designer items are fake....

I would just like to encourage anyone who may be considering doing business with this company to take the time to read my experience with them. (sorry for the length, but you need to hear this)

Keep in mind, I am an ebay powerseller. I know the ropes, and I have delt with different suppliers from across the world.

After a couple of weeks and several emails, on Feb. 22nd, I decided to make a 'test order' with fashionwholesalers.citymax.com. My contact's name was 'Eric Ruggles' claiming to be the CEO. We ordered 10 pairs of chanel sunglasses, Eric told me that these are 100% authentic and would be imported from Europe. 12 days later, I was emailed letting me know the order had been shipped to me. 2 hours later I was emailed again several times telling me to call Eric personally, now claiming to be the 'marketing manager'. He told me there was an 'issue' with the accounting dept, and they refunded our money and the shipment had been stopped. Now he wanted us to pay again, but this time with a different merchant, insuring me the refund would post within 72 hours. Obviously, we are not going to pay for the order (again) with out funds being refunded or products on the way. It has now been 10 days and this was the last communications that we have had:

(me march 11th)Can you copy and paste into a reply email showing that a refund is being processed into my account? I have done this for my own customers a couple of times for their peace of mind.

It has been 7 days, and my bank has 'no information' of any refund posting or being processed--- (I understand sometimes this takes time to post).

If you can do that, I will go ahead and resend payment via google today, so that I may receive my order soon and we can move on to larger business.

(FS reply march 13th) Since we have issued the refund, we are NO LONGER going to do business with you! Go somewhere else and harass businesses about e-mails they ALREADY sent since your not thorough enough to check your e-mails for yourself!

(My final reply)What a fantastic display of poor business ethics. No one is 'harassing' you or your company. I made a very reasonalbe request to see some sort of proof of a refund---after 10 days I might add, and you elected to reply without proof and completely unprofessionally. YOUR company made the error, not mine. We were ready to do thousands of dollars in monthly business with your company, but it seems that you are nothing more than your average scam.

It is clear to me that this company has no intentions of refunding my money. How difficult is it to send a refund confirmantion, seriously? And why would you treat a client this way?? I strongly encourage any one who has had difficulties or recieved FAKE merchandise from this company to share their experience as well.

Well Matt, you know my feelings about these yahoos. I have 2 pending orders with them. My customers have already paid me & I have sent the payment to fashionwholeslaers so we'll see if they even get their products. From what you are saying it's going to take a long time. I will never do business with them again. I just want a simple tracking number & they cannot or will not provide it for me. What total JERKS! NEVER EVER do business with these people. By the way, it looks like they closed their eBay account.

Again I personally believe that this is more the fault of media and online websites. People go into online sales thinking that these designer items will make thier dreams come true.

I thought this myself many years ago. But with research I learned that there is so much you can sell and make great returns on. And it does not have to be brand new.

Im into liquidations myself. Well Now I actually AM a Liquidator. But when I was just buying for resale on ebay . We got so many items we paid around $17 dollars for and sold them for as high as $400. Try to beat that with a handbag.

But the media makes people believe many lies. That wholesale is 50% to 60% below retail value. Lie 1

Wholesale generally and especially on electronics is only about 5% lower then retail. and On Houswares type goods can be 20%-30% But you dont see many people looking for housewares to sell on ebay do you

The other lie is that everyone that sells designer clothing and electronics on ebay are making tons of money. Lie 2

The majority of your big Super Powersellers are selling thousands of items per month in the electronics field. Hundereds of thousands are exchanging hands. But if that Powerseller is very lucky they get to see $2.00 - $5.00 per transaction as thier profit. There is only 1 known powerseller that is on ebay that sells electronics that is considered a Millionare. But that sellers is selling 23,000 items a month on ebay. And Im sure the recent changes and fvf fees will severly hurt even this seller.

There is so many misconceptions from newer sellers on this kind os selling. And many people kicking themselves when they see some electronics sellers selling tons of products. And they cant find anything cheap enough to make huge profits per item like they expect.

If you are not established on ebay and you happen to find good deals, a seller that is already established will do everything they can to ward off this seller and get thier auctions shut down.

I'm a new member to salehoo and this is my first time checking this part of the site out. I just want to say to everyone that i owned my own retail store & that it is about the samething, who to trust & who not to trust. I hate that their are people out there who rip other people off but there will always be.

I have a little free info for you all that might help solve this problem before it bites you or bites you again. I have found the best thing that you can do before you do any business with any company is to check with the Better Business Bureau to see if they are lagit or not. They will give you the real scoop on almost all companys. 'ones that are registered through them for sure and even alot that are not'.

You can also use them to file a complaint about any company and they will investagate them if they get so many complaints about the samething or if you request one in writting.(but it has to be a good lagit reason for wanting one) (They have forms they will send to you to fill out.) I know all about this because like I said earlier I owned a store before and used this info myself.

This is a grate source to get to know and the best part it's free. Now I'm not quit up and running yet as a store but I will be by the end of this coming week so stop by and check it out . I would love to here from you all to see what you think of it & give me your feedback. My store again will be ro123sbs

I hate to say it but the BBB has turned to crap. They used to be a good source of information. But just responding to a complaint these days gets you off the hook. There are so many swindlers using the online BBB seal and thier company is absolute crap.

I would prefet to use places like rippoffreport.com and other sites that you can viewe buyer reviews on sites.

Im assuming your talking about salehoo. The salehoo website is not owned by me. Salehoo is a much larger company then you think, I am the community manager for salehoo. And basically a spokesman to the community of 40,000 members. Its actually listed on about 30 pages

I run my own company and own Many of my own websites. And I have alot of time to guide new members and senior members with my knowlege in online business.I have spent thousands of hours teaching people how to start thier own businesses without making the mistakes I did. I do not use the BBB seal on any of my companies websites. And of course this is my opinion. But I have been ripped off by many companies carrying the BBB online seal. And I got little assuring info from the BBB on these companies. I was specifically told that cases are closed if the business responds to the complaint. And will not show up in a search after the case has been closed.

I would rather check out ripoffreport as its literally the largest online reporting site. And I do read all of the complaints. Just to see a pattern. I know some people will complain about nothing for thier own reasons. But if A site has been reported by 30 people with all the same story then there is something telling us that that company is one to avoid.
