I am new and would like to find a supplier that is located close to Kansas City Missouri. Is there a listing or database I can look at to find suppliers near me. I would like to save on shipping and possibly go look at the merchandise before I purchase since I am starting out. Any Advise would be appreciated

Just look in your phone directory, I use the yellow pages all the time and it is probably the best wholesale directory out there!

I'm not sure what category merchandise I will to try first. I'm looking to pay no more than 10-20% of the retail price. so I'm not sure what or where I am going to buy. I would like to get sporting goods, electronics and designer clothing maybe. I wish I had more money to start with but currently my funds are limited so I will have to buy small.

Ok, based on those figures I would suggest you take a look at liquidated stock as an option to get started.

There are a few in your area that I know of, however I have not verified any of them personally, so strongly suggest that you do your own checks before you make any purchase.
