It all helps mate, sale here, sale there, they all add up. We have quite a strange economic situation here in Australia at the moment, it's very much a 3 speed economy.
You have the resources sector on fire, big business is doing OK, but small business is doing it hard. That all points to local consumers being worried and holding their cash, and I think most would suggest not much will change up until the new emissions scheme gets under way, and people work out how it's actually effecting them.
Essentially, our economy should be doing well all over, we're in a good position, it's just that after the GFC, people have become far more cautious and they tend to play a lot safer with their cash now.
In regards to the shop design, bit too much for me I have to admit. When you're using a colour like that shade of purple, it's really easy for it to dominate visually, and they've gone a bit nuts in over doing that purple as well as the extra red.
What you essentially have are two competing logos now, and a whole mass of colour blocking, which is over branding. Doesn't give the shop a very clean look, very messy and a little confusing would be my assessment.
Less can be more, especially with what you currently have going on.
