Kindle DX supplier wanted

Hey I accidentally posted this topic in the wrong forum, so Ill repost it in this forum. I'm pretty new to salehoo and I need help finding the EBook reader Kindle DX. Ive looked around the site and only end up getting led to different 2nd class ebook readers and not the Kindle DX. If anyone could help me find a wholesaler for the Kindle DX that would be very appreciated thanks.

I could well be a long way off on this one, but I was under the impression that Amazon was the sole distributor of the Kindle, but I'm sure someone will be able to clarify a little more shortly.

fuddj is right Amazon is the sole distributor of the Amazon Kindle. Besides they are one of the biggest if not the biggest retailer online, so the likelihood of them looking for help by asking resellers to sell their product for them is slim to none.

There are many Chinese suppliers offering the kindle at wholesale, I would highly recommend you stay away from those suppliers. The authenticity and product function will be the main concern plus infringing copyrights.

Easy way to do it is to sign up for Amazon's affiliate program -- they pay up to 8.5% on Kindle and service sales, which is comparable to what your bottom line on a wholesale situation is going to be, and you aren't taking any inventory risks. Promote the Kindle alongside the 'second rate' Chinese stuff -- many people shop on price, not on quality. Sell the Chinese models on eBay and elsewhere, and use all listings and sales as traffic drivers to your website, which sells the same stuff but also promotes the Kindle (you can't promote an Amazon affiliate product at a venue such as eBay.)

Just my $0.02 I did something similar with smartphones back a couple of years ago, promoting cheap import smartphones to drive traffic to a site that was promoting high-end stuff via LetsTalk.com's affiliate program. Did very well with it.

Glad you like it! A big benefit of affiliate marketing is that there is virtually nothing you cannot sell. High-end stuff, name brand etc. with zero inventory risk and no fulfillment hassles. I've had several such sites over the years, and even have a seasonal one going right now -- the traffic is coming in on limited edition ornaments and decorations, and there are a few sidebar ads for wrapping paper and related supplies, which I actually inventory and sell. It's a very workable model and can be adapted to almost any conceivable niche.
