I would just like to add that your money is not safe with pay pal.
I was under the impression this was a safe payment platform.
I lost nearly 2000 sterling and although pay pal agreed in my favor, they said they could do nothing until the supposed company had funds in there pay pal account.
BE WARNED.
I personally would say Credit card is the safest method, as at least you can claim back.
What are other peoples thoughts on secure payment terms.
Its a damn shame questions like this have to be asked.
If i ever get my hands on any of the thieving.................
That's pretty accurate.
If the person who you have won the dispute against closes their PayPal account then your win is worthless.
If however they do keep their account open it will show their account as minus the amount they owe. If they try to make another payment through PayPal, or if an automated payment is taken from their account, the PayPal system will will read their account as minus, and will actually deduct not only the amount of the payment they are currently paying, but will also deduct the full amount to bring their account back to 0, after the current payment has been made.
That amount is of course the amount owing to you, and just to cause mass confusion to them, the transaction will show up on their banking statement as a single payment to that merchant.
It's actually a flaw in the PayPal system, and if you're on the wrong end of it, it can really suck, because they won't return your funds until the dispute has been closed in your favour.
If you lose the dispute, or in this case it would seem that they have already lost, PayPal will automatically deposit it into your account and they have absolutely no recourse to get the funds back.
So don't give up all hope just yet, if they get sloppy they will get caught when they least expect it!
As for preferred payment methods, always something you can make a charge back on when something goes pear shaped, only safe way to go!
