So i made an order with dhgate with a person who had over a 100 positive feedback, and i aksed him before i ordered if the shirts i wanted were in stock. He said yes. I received my order and i am missing half of it. Plus they are not the colors i wanted. I email him and there was no responce. I also filed a complaint with DHGate and Paypal. I also used my credit card to pay, so if i do not get any responce should i call the credit card company too? The colors are not reall that big of deal, i just want the other half of the order. All suggestion would be helpful, Thanks!
Hello, you really should read my DHGate FAQ before ever placing orders on DHGate it will save you swarms of headaches.
First off, the 100 positive feedback is good but its not a real indictator of service.
You need to check the feedback rating underneath that feedback score, which is the powerseller rating.
That powerseller rating will tell you alot about who you work with.
If its in the high 20s, you are most likely out of the risk area because they have done alot of power selling transactions.
It should be 100%, not 98% or lower, if its lower, you got a problem and need to ask some tough questions.
Questions you must ask before doing any business include:
'Is the item in stock and does it come with its original box?'
If yes,
'How many are CURRENTLY in stock and are any of them damaged or otherwise?'
That second question is JUST as important to ask as knowing whether it is currently in stock!
You have to know how many!!! And then, unless you were born yesterday you want to know how old the item is!
If they answered yes it comes with its original box thats good, now get a good answer of how old the item is.
If they answered no then run away like the plague.
They also need to answer whether it comes with certificates, if you get a positive response about it being in its original box.
Finally PLACE your order and it goes to escrow. In this case, if there is any issue you can open the dispute with DHGate and instead of releasing the money to the seller they will release it back to YOU.
Only do this if there is no choice and the item was damaged or not in stock.
So now that you know be sure and ASK those questions in the future!
In the meantime, you have to click 'Open dispute with DHGate' instead of the button that says release payment to the seller.
Explain what went wrong and then get it credited back to your bank. IF they seem to be way behind, then open a dispute with your bank and get it refunded. Send the damaged or missing items back to their address in the carry on box.
