cool-buys Hey, I know this might have been answered before but I am just looking for some good Alternative sites with somewhat to good traffic and low fees than eBay since their traffic is dead at the moment. I would appreciate the help, Thanks!
fudjj I'm not up to date with the traffic growth at Bonanzle.com at the moment, but it was showing excellent growth a while ago, and the listing is free. Definitely well worth checking out! The thing about ebay's traffic flow, if that is suffering then you can bet most are!
dwmgoods35 Yes its funny I was about to post if anyone was noticing a decline in ebay traffic. My numbers have dropped within this past month and not sure whats going on. I think like fudjj said Bonanzle and just about as many auction sites as you can find to put your listings up on will help. But like Marc says if ebay's traffic is down I am sure that most others will be. I did notice a small decline in my booth traffic on bonanzle.
dwmgoods35 Hey Cool-Buys, I noticed you have an auctivacommerce store, has things improved with the starting of that program?
dwmgoods35 Ok so this is an interesting point to bring up. I have noticed that traffic has been slow for a few months now and ebay fees are not getting any better. By the way has anyone really figured out how this 'NEW FEBAY' is going to benefit us sellers, and what difference is their new fee structure going to make? Also these days is it really worth it to wind down the number of listings on ebay and start to expand on other avenues like bonanzle which im already on and others? I mean I know these other guys are not close to the traffic as ebay is, but what if I paid the google adwords, and start doing free listing advertisement? would this help any? Let's face it folks ebay has a fee structure that really makes it tough for us sellers to really make a profit and Im really scratching my head to find a way to avoid this. You hear other sellers say they cancelled their ebay accounts and looking elsewhere but can one actually avoid ebay all together and still make money? These I know are loaded questions but things are really slowing down out there and I want to try and avoid some of these ebay fees.
designerthriftshop I like Bonanzle. My boot there is Sweetie Pea Boutique. I don't pay for any advertising at all. I use Twitter & facebook. Everytime I list something new I post it to both those sites. eBay will never go away so I guess we may as well get used to it :) Happy Selling!
dwmgoods35 Hi designerthriftshop, May I ask if you still sell on ebay or have you dropped them all together and just focus on Bonanzle? I also love Bonanzle but I have only sold like 5 things there since I joined back in February. Im just wondering if there is a way besides just linking to facebook or twitter to get people to your booth.
designerthriftshop Hi DWM yes I still sell on eBay. Unfortunately eBay has the traffic so that's where most of my sales come from.
dwmgoods35 Yes I think when it comes down to it ebay will always have the highest volume of traffic. I am not sure how Bonanzle gets it revenue from but they really should make plans to advertise more to not just count on us sellers to bring them traffic.
