There are several ways to drive traffic to your site, and these are basically letting everyone know that it exists and inviting them to come visit. :) You can use social networking sites (Facebook,Twitter), link exchanges, SEO, word- of- mouth offline advertising, using of widgets and creating a mailing list for newsletters, forum posting.. It’s a long list and I may say the possibilities are as endless as one's creativity can muster. :)
However, turning these visitors into buyers is another thing. Is your site a good store?
You need to provide a solid, impressive description of your company, details of your physical location and some domain based email address (not the free yahoo acct). With a phone number as the only detail, who would give the time? Is the site fully developed? Are there any indications that it is a trial site, with some spots needing to be filled?
Another thing buyers will be looking out for is the sense of security / safety. Is there an assurance that the products are genuine and can you provide proof of authenticity? Is there a return policy? Any proof of satisfied customers?
And then you also need to examine the market. Who would order 500 units of led TVs? Volume buyers are experienced resellers who will gauge up your site. It’s tough and these things should all match up. :)
