Hi, I'm brand new here and was hoping to find some dropshipping tutorials. The basic things that need to be known, how to set up the accounts, using dropshippers as a supplier for an ecommerce store. Thanks and I look forward to getting acquainted with you all.

Mike

Hi. Eventhough I have become Sellhoo member for quite sometimes I seldom utilised all the facilities it offers ( I mainly browsing through the suppliers website). However, for a past few days I am thinking very hard to try dropshipping as my first online business but I have many things in mind. At least these are what I am in doubt of.

1) I dont have blogshop to begin with. Do you think its better for me to start with something as free as blogshop or straightway using sellhoo's online store services?

2) I do not have any customer base. If I were to open the online store using sellhoo service, what the system will do to attract the traffic for my store?. What should I do in your opinion?.

3) How do I accept credit card for my business or other payments? I only have paypal account that link to my debit card. I live in Malaysia.

Hello Rosie :)

Welcome to the forums! I will try my best to address your concerns, kindly refer to my answers below -

If this is your first time to sell online you might consider selling through online marketplaces such as ebay before investing on your own webstore just so you get the feel of online selling!

2) I do not have any customer base. If I were to open the online store using sellhoo service, what the system will do to attract the traffic for my store?. What should I do in your opinion?.

Everyone starts out this way - zero customerbase but millions of potential customers to attract! I think your find the tips in the following links helpful -

You can accept credit card payments through Link hidden: Login to view. I found this Link hidden: Login to view offering a step-by-step guide on how you can accept credit card payments through your PayPal account.

Hope this helps you off to a good start!

The best of luck to you and your upcoming business :)

Thanks for a fast reply Richelle,

You have suggested ebay, but everyone knows that it hard to get sale from ebay especially the fee is very high and will eat up the profit especially from inexpensive item. Will dropshipping items give profit to petty ebayers, I am not sure what kind of products that will? Thanks.

Hello rosie,

Yes, I did mention ebay in my post but it was more of an example of a marketplace rather than my first choice :)

But then again ebay still gets a lot of visitors so it is a good place to list a few products even just for the purpose of exposure and to drive traffic to your own store or other listings.

Profit margins would definitely be lower when using a dropshipper unless your find a niche market with few competitors – collectibles and one-off items have amazing profit margins, even on eBay. These days, you have to be pretty savvy to survive on eBay

Hope this helps!
