I have been selling pc video games on ebay for about 4 years now. I use a USA dropshipper. I wanted t know if anyone knows of any UK dropshippers or wholesale companys I can buy from. The reason I asked about UK is because of a seller I saw on ebay. His user name is uk-to-usa-gamesdirect. The seller sells a lot of the games I sell but he sells them alot lower than I do. So I was thinking maybe I need to find me a UK source for my pc games. I posted one of the listings below.

Hi softwareloaded,

I am assuming you found one games developer on eBay, or probably a dealer for this company which is 'the source'. If you search on gamesdirect.com you will see Link hidden: Login to view This company is based in UK and creates/develops computer games for the Xbox, Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 and PC games.

This is just a guess though. :)

Kind regards,

Irene

Hello,

I was guessing that this seller is dropshipping from the UK (by looking at his user name and shipping option). My question was is there any UK dropshippers that you know of?

Hi softwarereloaded.

I'm personally involved in the games market myself and can tell you that price isn't a drop ship price, he's buying in some sort of volume to be passing that title on for that price.

My best guess is that he is clearing old stock at or very close to cost on that title.

When you see sellers selling games for this cheap what type of quantity are they buying or money wise?
Do you have any recommendations on places I can buy bulk software for good price?

I've had a bit of a look at this seller's catalogue and doubt if he's buying wholesale at all now. All of his titles seem to be older, couldn't see anything that jumped out as being a new release.

I suspect he is buying old stock from some source/s at rock bottom prices. Now that could be buying anywhere from a distributor themselves, right through to your average corner games shop that is liquidating old stock.

Maybe an idea there for you, stick your head in some doors and see what is available by way of old stock taking up valuable space on retail shelves. Remember, in the real world a store owner can't afford to keep slow moving stock on the shelf, that's valuable space that can be used to sell fast moving stock.

That of course isn't a factor in online retail as most of the stock is sitting in boxes in the spare room : )
