The home health market is filled with people who received items at no or substantially no cost courtesy of insurance, Medicare etc. who then sell those items. I was amazed, after my father passed away, at the prices at which top of the line wheelchairs, beds, etc. could be purchase. We had a $3,000 electric wheelchair that had literally never been used, still had protective plastic on the armrests, that I sold on eBay for $400, and I had to deliver it at that price. Most of the other stuff we just donated to a local nursing home.
