Hi Cathy,

Generally when you are dropshipping products the customers will shoulder the shipping costs and since the cost may vary depending on your customers location.

Some sellers will offer flat rate shipping which may not play to your advantage at all times since shipping costs will vary. So personally I would not offer this.

Rather it may be best that you add a shipping calculator to your site or store. That way your customers can calculate for the cost of shipping.

Hope this helps, please let us know if we can help you with anything else :)

Hi Cathy,

It would be best to give the suppliers a call or email and ask. Some suppliers have their own online calculators and the rates they will charge should match with what you will declare in yours. :) (Note that the item will be coming from them)

Suppliers also differ in how they handle shipping. The best way to learn about this is to first read the wholesale suppliers' policies and procedures, and if you are unsure about some things, confirm. Some will be charging a flat fee, some base the shipping charge on the price or weight. I'm sure the drop ship suppliers will be open to help you with any information you will need. :)

Cheers!

Hi Cathy,

Before I start recommending anything, might be best to clarify what your website is built on or what ecommerce software are you using?

And like Irene mentioned it would be best to contact your supplier as well since they may have their own calculators which you can use.

Also, most freight companies have their own shipping calculators so it would be best to ask your supplier which shipping companies are being used by them.

Cheers :)

Hi Cathy,

You can create your own custom shipping rules or you can set ecwid to provide real-time shipping rates from several carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc).

Detailed instruction on how to do this is provided by ecwid at Link hidden: Login to view

Hope this helps. :)
