Point Blank, I have 1,000 dollars to spare the more i research the forums, the bigger headache i get. Please use your experience to help, so I don,t have to go thru. As a minister I use my life experiences to teach others from making the same mistakes. So if someone that is currently making a living doing this, and this is all you had to start over, What supplier would you go to? And what would you purchase

With $1,000.00 I'd suggest that you use it to bootstrap your business by getting into affiliate marketing instead. You can buy/build numerous sites focused around specific products or niches and have that money developing income right away, with little additional work past the start up costs, and use that income to start getting into buying your own product.

I realise I beat everybody over the head with this approach, but from what I see people on limited budgets somehow seem to always end up using 'drop shippers' and then are bitter about the money they've lost. When you use a drop shipper, you aren't marketing your own stuff either; going the affiliate route is cheaper and offers a better ROI for the time and money put into it.

You can also use that amount to buy pallets of items you can resell online and on ebay.

Not to be contentious Jimmy, but with $ 1,000 you can buy -one- pallet of quality merchandise from almost any niche (after shipping) and still have a little left over. It could pan out of course but I would personally not want to stick my entire operating budget on one order.

fm1234 It's all very well to point somebody into affiliate marketing, but it's not as easy as you make it sound. It's very difficult without a website which attracts good traffic or a newsletter list of opt in subscribers. I've tried several times to get into affiliate marketing but without a mentor or lots of study and research, most people trying affiliate marketing tend to fail and give up. You could lose your shirt before generating any income.

Difficult I can do right away. Impossible takes a little longer

Have to agree on affiliate marketing. Plenty of glory stories out there, but it aint easy. Having spent over $20k on courses, built several websites, written ebooks etc and still no further ahead. After 2 years of affiliate and internet marketing, I wish I had put the money into starting an ebay business, which is where we are finally going!

I don't recall saying or intentionally implying that affiliate marketing is easy ... merely that dollar-for-dollar, a small investment in a.m. tends to have better prospects than a similar amount in this business, especially when most newbies are sucked into drop shipping agreements where they don't 'feel' the money being spent (since it's bleeding out in increments rather than being spent on inventory up front.)

Everything that you both are saying as downsides to affiliate marketing:

'.. difficult without a website which attracts good traffic ... '

'... without a mentor or lots of study and research, most people trying affiliate marketing tend to fail and give up.'

'You could lose your shirt before generating any income.'

'29k/2 years later no further ahead'

Applies to this business as well. The difference is that the skills learned in the former are useful to not only this business but to almost any other online endeavour.

Affiliate marketing is the number one suggestion I'd do from there six.

You don't have nearly the resources to really get something off the ground.

Once you get involved with affiliate marketing and get some companies with a really great track record, then you'll be off the ground.

Remember, the company's track record is the number one MAJOR difference. Its the difference between a failure and a success.

Its the number one difference between a failure & success even OVERNIGHT that's how crucial it is.

It isn't easy as you will have to market the hell out of it, but its also not too hard at all.

Our health-wellness product line is HUGELY successful. Our downline is already triple what it started as, and the health product is TOP OF THE INDUSTRY = including the fact health-welnness is the like it or not trillion dollar industry we're heading towards.

Everybody loves that product, and more people sign up & sign up. And sign up. And we just talk to people there's not even a huge marketing campaign but the point is it works.

And from my standpoint, you WANT that as your foundation....then you can buy ANY products you can possibly want to try out....Then you can tap into EVERY niche....and test a different niche until you found one that goes consistently.

Then you can market your physical store, your business, all of that everywhere......and tap into a system that can and WILL generate thousands of dollars...not at first but after a certain amount of time.

Then you can replicate that, until all you have is an automated set of residual income. Then all your goals have been met.

LEARNING and DUPLICATION are truly keys to succeed period.

Dihusky,

The reason you aren't really further ahead is you only stopped at NETWORKING.

And marketing is more than networking. All business there is, basically is networking.

Marketing is MORE then that. Marketing is to SUSTAIN and give sustainability.

Once you have your network in place and everything set in whichever company, you then HAVE to give it permanent sustainability.

That will come from.....ONLINE. Very little of it offline...

You will want to plug everybody's website into the ultimate 'TRAFFIC EXCHANGE' fest until....thousands of people are simply travelling to the websites all the time.

You will want to PUT what you LEARNED and APPLY it right away......start adding options to pay by Bidpay, Paypal, etc for ANY products. (This I found worked instantly....always add a little)

You will THEN & only then want to put your credit card onto Google Adwords and pick the 'EXACT' same niche keywords which you found being used on ****spoiler**** eBay, Craiglist, uBid etc....

Yes it is KEY to use the exact same KEYWORDS consistently that you find people used to find YOUR product or YOUR business at the start!

And after you really are official in AdWords, you will want to add CLICKBANK to everybody....and use the same keywords yet AGAIN....and repeat the same methods..

All of this believe it or not can lead to a multi millionaire and sometimes overnight...But you HAVE to put the work in and build it, HAVE to do the part of setting it up....and they will come.....After you've built it up they will come.

They will never stop coming if you have successfully automated the traffic.
