Did SaleHoo take it away? If so, why?

Just signed up with SaleHoo and checked out a supplier of E Juice who is selling at retail prices. Would be nice to have a review system in place to weed out waste of time suppliers.

Hi Brian and welcome to the forum

We have altered the 5 start review because it was discovered that some members were leaving unjustified negative feedback on some suppliers. While it was a good system in practice, unfortunately that type of abuse of the system means that we could not longer offer it for genuine feeback measures.

Members are quite free to mention feedback on any supplier, whether in our directory or not, on the forum for all to review.

Just so you are aware, all supplier applicants undergo a strict verification process where they have to meet certain criteria to get listing approval. However, the criteria does not include product pricing. We leave members to judge what they consider to be a fair price from suppliers, if they don't like a supplier's price, then we always suggest they consider other suppliers within the directory.

Hi, Brian and other members,

I am new to Salehoo and have been using it for almost a week (very intensely). I used to be an ebay powerseller and made a living exclusively doing that for around 5 years. Then the market and other circuntances made me have to close and do something else. Still have my account with 11k+ feedback. So decided to start over (also need the money bad) so my only alternative to get going is dropshipping. With that intro let me get to the point.
I found in the Salehoo directory FocalPrice. I placed a few items from them on my ebay account (I am desperate for good feedback because a few intial negatives can delay me months) they started to sell and have been eagerly waiting for them to confirm it was shipped (still less than 48 hours) so just as a hunch I looked for reviews of Focalprice in google and found to my horror hundreds if not thousands of reviews with 1 star over 10 and people just telling really scary experiences. I am now thinking of removing items because I don't have a margin of error until I get sales going.
I truly wish you had a rating sistem in place, I have spent several alll nighters desperately looking for my right supplier with products that sell and I have come across many suppliers that do sell at retail prices therefore making it imposible to dropship and really should not be in the list since it is really time consuming sorting through them. Also what looks like a potential company that "drops the mustach" like in your sales pitch video is in the directory for 2 years and might have caused me harm (hope not but after reading reviews with 2400+ reviews and having overall 1 out of 10 stars and scam warnings all over the place I am not optimistic at all),
I am a bit disapointed that I trusted the directory to be safe and think I might have been burned, but on another note have a list of several suppliers that I found here that look promising.

So from a perspective of a new user here you should highly reconsider putting a seller evaluation in place since that is what is the best value you give to users.like me escaping from the jungle of searching in google and having been approched by a few scamers outside your directory.

Hope for any advice and thoughts you can give.

Thanks,

Hernan

Hi Hernan,

As per my above post, it's important to offer fairness to everyone. Now that doesn't just include our members, but it also includes our verified suppliers. Legit suppliers were getting bad unfair feedback from people for no legit reason and while this is a trend on the internet in general, it's not what we are about here on SaleHoo, so we had to take action to stop that sort of unfair garbage from going on and damaging perfectly legit suppliers.

As I have mentioned above, members are welcome to post their experiences with suppliers on the forum if they wish, both good or bad. All we ask is that the comments made are legit and well detailed so as people can then have the full story to make up their own mind, just as you have done above.

Now we are quite happy to follow up with the supplier on your behalf if you would like us to and find out if there is an issue firstly, then how best to resolves the issue if there is one, but from what you have written so far, you don't seem to be sure if there is even an issue currently?
