Hi, I have been selling on eBay since I was about 13 years old on my dad's account. Now I am a college student and I really want to keep selling things. I have my own website called *****DELETED BY MOD***** and sold over $8,000 worth of xbox 360's over August only! I can't find very many products to sell on eBay with good profits. I just want to either buy in bulk and resell or buy a couple things wholesale and try and resell them. I don't have that much money to buy a lot of products for my first purchase but I got enough to make a pretty good purchase. Can anyone tell me what I should sell how to find those products and if eBay is the best online auction site to sell from. Thanks

hello kkelan, im bit of a noob myself though i've been on salehoo for awhile, i noticed nobody has replied to your posts, maybe you could give some ideas as to what ur looking for, do you have any idea what kind of products you want to sell? how much are you looking to invest? are you located in the u.s.?

have a read through the forums as well, you'll find a wealth of knowledge there from experienced sellers

is ebay the best site to sell on? traffic/sales wise, unfortunately yes. but there fees can really take a big chunk out of any potential profit.

welcome to salehoo, have a look through the forums, and im sure some 1 with more experience will get back to you soon

Hi kkelan55,

Welcome to the site! :)

raiderjake's right about eBay, sadly they are at the top of the list traffic wise - the best maybe not, there are far more better auction sites than eBay. Here are a list of the top 15 eCommerce sites as judged by sellers themselves:

As for products, it would best to look for a niche - I know this is easier said than done. Just about everybody's looking for the best product there is and quite frankly its hard to tell...although it'd best if you stick to the basic stuff, you know things that are a need. Also instead of selling pricey electronics products why not start out with accessories instead.

If there is anything else we can help you with, you can either post it here in the column or email us at Link hidden: Login to view

Cheers! :)

By looking at your website, it seems that you don't need any help finding merchandise, you have everything but a kitchen sink.

And you been selling on ebay since you were 13, Maybe you can teach
us a few things???

I agree with those above, looks like you could teach us a thing or two or three....

only suggestion I would have is that maybe you want to consider adding an affiliate program to your site - have other people market products on your site for a percentage of sale.

Apart from that, I think I may be coming to you for some help. Your site looks fabulous.

Peace!

I suggest you have summed that up quite well actually Joe, sorry kkelan55, no stealth marketing permitted. Your banner on the website clearly indicates that you are promoting stock for resale on ebay, and as you are not an authorised seller I can't let that one sneak under the radar.

If you would like to openly engage in promoting your website as a resource to our members, you can get all the details here;
