Hi Guys ,
I need some advice. I bought a sample original 8Gb iphone which I paid $US350 but got a Fake iphone cect 168 instead from a seller in Dhgate.com.
The question is should I send the product back to the scammer or keep it and wait for an outcome from Dhgate to manage the dispute?

Can you get back to me with some advice if you have experience the same thing?

Thanks
JYONG :?:

Do not send the product back until a solution has been agreed upon between you, dhgate and the seller. Be prepared to go back and forth for months with dhgate. You will have to be relentless and just keep bugging them. After an agreement has been reached, you can send the product back if that is part of the deal. In our case, we were dealing with 3 different sellers. 1 wanted his stuff returned; the other 2 didn't even want their own junk back.
The 'buyer protection' on dhgate is a joke. You will have to fight tooth and nail to get anything back. You will not get a full refund, but just fight for as much as you can get. Use the words 'fraudulant', 'fake', 'imitation', etc alot.
Good Luck to you. We finally got about 85-90% of our money back after 4 months of fighting.

Keep it and write it off as a bad experience, but learn from it. You'll waste so much time (what is time, time is money) and energy trying to get it resolved that the stress will cause you a lot of grief. Give the phone away as a present and make someone smile there has to be some good come out of it. Keeping it will just remind you

Hi Beagle0918,
I need your advice. Dhgate wants me to return the item to the seller via courier and send them a tracking number. However I think alot can go wrong the seller could mabe decline to acccept the parcel from customs for example or accept the parcel and said it was in bad condition, thereby getting his money from DHgate and his product back.

So what is your advice?

thanks
Joe
