Hi everyone!

I am extremely new to this, and don't really know where to begin. I wanted to start up a website to sell videos of some of my favorite shows, but I don't really know where to get the videos from. I searched the wholesale movie sources on this website, but didn't find what I was looking for.

Should I try and contact the creators of the shows to buy from, or find a distributor? Who do I contact to buy directly from the source, so I can get the cheapest possible videos?

I also live in the United States, do I need to get a business licence or something before I can sell online? If so how can I do this?

If someone can answer my questions and help me please do!
Thanks so much!

Most likely you will have to get a sales tax ID and have you registered with your local gov and gotten a DBA(Doing Business As)? To buy from authentic wholesalers and distributors you must have a sales tax ID. Simply put, if a wholesaler doesnt ask you for your tax ID they're not really a wholesaler but a middleman. Also, most of the sites that Salehoo offers are really just retail sites. This site is pretty much useless. It gets you in the right direction but thats about it. The best part about this site is this forum where you will learn quite a bit and the people here usually answer your questions.

look at your local goverment websites about starting a small business. There is a lot of information out there and it is well worth looking into.
