Hi, my name is Adam. I've found the niche that I want to focus on and I've found a few suppliers in the wholesale directory.

I've got an S-Corp, a tax ID #, and a "Sales and Use Tax Certificate" (Virginia's version of a reseller certificate).

I'm ready to start contacting wholesalers.

So, do I simply email them and/or call them with the info supplied in the SaleHoo database?

Is it that simple?

How do they know I'm a SaleHoo member?

Probably a silly question, but I want to make sure I'm taking the correct route. I've read all the info and know that questions to ask etc. Just wondering if my next step is to contact them and ask to be a reseller and tell them I'm a member of Salehoo?

Thanks! Adam

Hi Adam,

You've got it covered. Simply contact the supplier to discuss MOQ amounts and to establish a new account. No need to mention SaleHoo, we sometimes get suppliers offering members special deals, but that will be on the supplier's profile at the time if any special offer is available for members.

Just use their contact details on their profile page, I suggest a phone call will get you the quickest results.

Cheers

Hey Marc, thanks so much for the uber fast response!

Okay, yes I've been told that direct phone calls are the best route so that's what I'll do. I really appreciate the info and advice. I just joined yesterday and I think I'm getting the scope of how it all works. Quite happy with SaleHoo thus far, the information provided (didn't know I needed a reseller certificate so I did it today online in VA in about 10 minutes:), the lessons and tips, all sorts of good things.

And, I'm already seeing, as I read in some reviews just 2 days ago, that the community is what is driving this. The affiliate that I signed up through, Lance, has already sent me 3 long detailed messages that he did as a favor to get me going in the right direction. Ie, answered my inane questions with grace and intelligence. I'm done blowing up his inbox of course :)

Cheers, and thanks again, Adam

(you probably haven't seen the last of me, I've found that simply asking questions is the most efficient method of progress, and you just proved it :)
