eBay Pulse is the ultimate pinnacle i gather how does one get there i assumed it was due to having heaps of watchers on a high selling item when i saw that a seller selling the same product as me at a higher price had made it to the Pulse screen in that category this had me stumped as to what credentials made there listing show up on that screen. They have half my feedback rating and not a powerseller which i am although they do have a eBay store and i don't. Could someone explain how one gets to be listed on the Pulse pages
Thanks

Hi pcostie,

From what I read, its doesn't matter as much whether you have great feedback or if you're a powerseller. You have to take note that eBay Pulse is based on actual searches performed by eBay users - so the more your product is being view the higher your chance is of having your product included on that list.

Also, here's what I gathered from eBay's help section about what you can do to get your products on the eBay Pulse list:

Popular products
This list is based on the number of recent purchases of certain products on eBay. Only items that were listed using product details from our catalog are counted when this list is generated.

Most watched items
This list shows items that are currently the most watched on eBay, according to the number of users who have selected the “Watch this Item” link on an eBay listing page.

From reading a few forums, I think people get their items on the Pulse by emailing all their subscribers on their lists and giving them a watch link - plus paying for featured listings etc.

Some people are also talking about a special 'code' that you can use to get on eBay Pulse, but that sounds like a get quick rich scheme to me!

But the question is: Is getting in eBay Pulse really that helpful for your sales & profits? It's all very well to get lots of views, but if you aren't getting many conversions, it's not going to be worth the effort.

Out of interest I checked on one of the current eBay Pulse items "DOUBLE SIDED ** Custom engraved Dog Tag Cat Pet ID Tags". Has this person been selling dozens today or even recently? No! And the ones they have sold have sold for a pathetically small amount.

I'm very interested in hearing other people's thoughts on this!

the list never seems to change, and also the mos popular store is only a small store compared to others.

OK now some time down the track since i asked about Ebay Pulse well now i can shed some real light on the Pulse having had 3 items that featured on the Pulse in thier own catergories . Once your items have reached the status where upon they show up in the Ebay Pulse that is not even level 1 but at least in thier catergory they are pushedto the top of the search lists and sales of those items do accelarate rapidly for sure. These same items now have slipped from the Pulse for reasons due to problems with paypal changing my account to 30 day rolling reserve (thats another story) and pratically crippling my business. So had to take my store off line for some time. So those items lost thier Pulse postions and now the sales on these items probably are down to less than a third of what they were. So the bottom line is if your item/items get featured in the Pulse then the traffic is definately pushed to that item and does make a huge difference to ones sales.

Hi I am new here to Salehoo and was going through the training and saw where I could go to EBay Pulse but when I entered the web address it just kept taking me to EBay's front page. Have they done away with Pulse and other helpful links for sellers?

Hello dw3280,

Unfortunately yes, eBay has done away with eBay Pulse. But with our Market Research Lab you can still search for a profitable niche to sell on eBay.

All the best!
