Hello Dream_dealz!

Hmmm, this is a fairly difficult question to answer as all research results assume that your business operates with a brick and mortar presence in the state where you are registered. There is no mention of operating a business virtually. This is not really surprising as most online venture are still in its infancy and legislating a new law takes forever.

I suggest you go to the Link hidden: Login to view there you will find the business requirements per state. You just need to remember that a separate federal license may be required depending on the types of products you want to sell. You may also need to consult with an accountant regarding proper filing of sales taxes.

Goodluck!

Well, there are states ( i seem to recall from a magazine) that don't require taxes..so I am contemplating in registering a buisness in a tax free state and starting my ebay buisness from there..

Yes, Dream_dealz there are states that are not that strict with business taxation. Nevada and Delaware, for instance, are a very popular choice for corporations as they offer significant tax benefits.

Nevada offers:

* No corporate income tax
* No taxes on corporate shares
* No franchise tax
* No personal income tax
* No I.R.S. information sharing agreement
* Nominal annual fees
* Minimal reporting and disclosure requirements
* Stockholders are not public record

Be aware however, that while the benefits of incorporation in Nevada may be substantial, if your business is located in another state, it's possible you may have to pay your home state's fees also.

Hope this helps. All the best :)
