Hello all,

I am outside US and I am using incnow.com to register an LLC in Delaware. (still under process). I understand that I can apply for an EIN online and I should not be paying anyone to do that. Incnow is charging 200 to get an EIN#. Thank god, I came across a thread at salehoo advising that one can get a EIN online.

Anyways, I was hoping that with a business license and EIN, I would be able to tap in some top brand wholesalers. But now I am faced with another dilemma. How do I get a reseller certificate in Delaware? The internet tells me that there is no sales tax in Delaware.

I am just looking to satisfy wholesalers like B&F, Evertek etc, when they are for a reseller certificate#.

Would really appreciate some advice. Thanks everyone for taking the time to read and reply to my post.

Best,

Davy

Hi Davy,

A sales tax is collected on goods sold in any state where you have nexus or "physical presence" as a seller, provided that the state is not one of the five states that does not require sales tax.

These five states that do not have any sales taxes are - Alaska, Montana, Delaware, New Hampshire, and Oregon.

You just need to inform the supplier about your LLC in Delaware, as they may have different requirements for this set up, and will have another form for you to fill out.

Hope this helps. :)

Irene
