This may get a few peoples noses up but i feel i need to say this...

Salehoo are here to HELP people find wholesalers, which i find they do help me in getting around and trying to source products. However people come on here and expect the owners of salehoo to run around after them and for them to sit back and do nothing...

I myself have spent 2 years now trying to find wholesalers. I am heading in the right direction more so now thanks to Salehoo but im getting really annoyed with some people who expect things to come to them.
It takes ALOT of time to find the right wholesaler and when you do keep hold of them. it might take you seconds to find one but it may take years to find the right one.

Salehoo has helped me so much so far and the forum i find is awesome apart from people expecting things to happen overnight. Maybe its only me that feels this way but i feel it needs to be said.

Thanks salehoo you guys/gals are AWESOME!

Nic

Well said. I agree. It surely doesn't happen over night - it's taken me a couple years also, and I think researching, and working hard to figure out what sells, and to sell the right product is really the name of the game ....

I've been very frustrated at times, but I have to applaud Salehoo --- this site has been a great big help to me also!! 8) :)

I've only been doing this less than a week, and I've realized that it takes a lot of effort to make it work. I've spent quite a bit of time in this last week reading, researching, etc, to figure stuff out. I was doing all this before I joined SaleHoo. I joined because I thought it might help with what I want to accomplish, and because almost anything is easier if we share experiences. I'm hoping to learn a little from others experiences and mistakes...

Yea, same here. And I think this site will help a bit. I've learned a lot, for sure!!

I started on Ebay selling my daughters outgrown clothing, and was like, WOW, this is fun. And well, then I was doing it for fun -- but browsing - I figured out, there is money in this - but again, it's not easy. Takes a lot of work!

Hi,

Just to echo the sentiments already written.

Thanks to salehoo as so far they have proved to be the best resource I've found for wholesalers. I have used a couple of others and paid heaps for lists off ebay and the likes, to be frustrated by 'dead' links and lack of results.

The forum provides an excellent place to compare stories, frustrations and experiences in this business.

I am also quite new to this and although you do still need to perform your own research and due dilligence, salehoo makes the task so much easier.

Thanks guys!

toffee.

The forum addition to Salehoo may be its most valuable asset. There will be a few additions very soon which will make it even more valuable. Knowledge is power :D .

I just found salehoo.com inside some junk I bought on eBay and it wasn't the first, 2nd or third lot of junk I bought either in a search for suppliers/wholesalers.

At first it seemed a little expensive compared to other wholesaler information sites, but the professional look of the website swayed me into joining.

In just one evening searching, reading this forum and looking around, I've made

Hello all, First post here, but I have read over half of the forum already as of today! I have to say to those who wish for low low prices and huge profits that in the internet world it gets very difficult. Yes you can go for what's hot, like Ipods and things of the such, but mark my words, in order to have constant success, you gotta focus. Find your nich and focus on it. Yes it takes time and lots of hard work, but you can do it!

I've been in this business for about 3 years now, on and off. I'm only 22 but thanks to 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', I've been thinking ourside of the box. My first company was with my cousin and we did computer repair. I stumbled on the Impoting business when we were looking for cheap computer replacement parts. Found alibaba.com, which wasnt that big back then, but it was great. Liquidationstation was the first one I found, and was another reason I smiled when I looked at the links on this site to it. The Owner is Bonner G Smith, and this person shows that time and effort along with perserverance pays. Salehoo had the sites that I was stumbling on by accident over and over again!

Now this is my 4th company and its only focus is importing and exporting. At the $$$ level im at, which is ominous to say the least, I'm focusing on brokering to other companies. Even with little or no cash, you can make this work, we all can. I've been in computer repair, computer scrap, Real estate notes brokering, and Credit Repair (started that from scratch). I'm going to hold on to this one until I succeed.

All the other companies aren't failures or to show how big headed I am, the point is that you have to keep trying. Every so called failure is really a lesson, well actually mountains of lessons. You learn, pick yourself up and keep trying. Thomas Edison failed over 10,000 times making the lightbulb, and when people made fun of him for it he responded that every time he failed he learned one more way that it couldn't be done. Always think positive, even when the chips are down.

Thanks to all you guys here in Salehoo, you are incredibly patient with everyone else, with much understanding in your hearts. GOD bless you all. This forum isnt that old, so anyone who reads this would do well (i think) to participate now. This is the Prime time to learn and to make money from this forum, not to jinx it for later times, but you know how forums get with age. Now is when we have the most dedicated people who truely want others to succeed as they have! Oh and one last thing, if anyone needs any advice with company starting, contracts, ect. I have experience in all that, as I'm sure others do too, ask away and dont be shy!

Centercorp - Sounds like you and I joined this site for similar reasons.

One thing I like is that even though owning and running a home business is more of an individual thing (at least for this type of business), you don't feel alone here. We can learn from each other's experiences, help each other out, offer moral support, etc.

It was well worth my cost of admission!

I agree with all of the above.
I have a brick and morter store; have an informational website and do a bit of playing with Ebay.
I have spent almost three years finding the wholesalers that I deal with now on a regular basis.
Your cannot buy 'in a box' a one size solution.
I am glad I found SaleHoo because of all the information contained within the site. And, yes, I have even found a few things to add to my store.

I have been a member for a couple of weeks, now.
Have been silent in the background, and listening to what everyone has to say.

But this subject make the hair on my neck stand straight up!

It is very difficult to start any kind of bussiness, and anyone who is not willing to put forth the effort should not be here.

You will be hearing from me, again. But until then, I will listen.

I , too, agree that the membership here is worth every pennny I paid. I have received more benefit from the 2 weeks here than any other site I am a memeber.

Hi everyone from chlly Dunedin, New Zealand. I have been reading over the forum for a couple of days now, its a very very cool site. I am wanting to work from home probably like milions of others out there, I have a dead beat job, going no where, I WANNA QUIT! To be honest I went over the Salehoo homepage about 10x before joining. I dont know why I waited so long. New Zealand is lagging behind most countries and we all need to think outside that *square*. Thankfully I was one of those people.
I am having so much fun on the net 24/7 now, negleting my poor family. The WOW factor happens everyday now.
Cheers to you guys for all the info givin and thanks to the Salehoo gang for giving us the oppotunity to expand our bank accounts.

My 2 cents worth..... i agree as well with pretty much all i've seen. It would be silly expecting to much to soon but i searched for a specific product over to months (not through salehoo i admit) and am pretty confident i've found the best deal out there so now i'm focusing on other products...but my question is do you think i should keep searching? or when youv'e created a good buyer/seller relationship at fair price's, good shipping etc should you 'commit' to them?.... one more thing how do you gain more stars underneath your name here on salehoo?

Well you should always commit yourself to every product you offer. But don't commit to just one. Commit to many products related to your market niche.

And always keep searching keeping in mind that the cheapest product is not always the best.

And my favorite piece of advice.... Differentiate or Die!

The net is packed full of people fighting for the same cutomer base.
Find your niche market, find out what they want, give it to them.

And of course spend much time on your supply chain organization and research.

I agree with Jason, don't commit to just one product. However, if you are talking about company loyalty, I personally would commit to them if I had a good relationship, unless you find the same product and the price is significantly lower. In that case I would tell my supplier about the price (after I did a test order of course) and see if he will match it. There are also other considerations besides price as well, such as customer service, expediency of service, and so on. Never burn your bridges!

Oh yea, the stars go up with the number of posts you make on this forum. :)

Cheer's guys, i've got many many different products based on a number of reasons...popularity, a 'need' for the product, good return and if i would consider buying it amongst other things, An i do agree you must commit to ALL your products then.....sell sell sell!!! while i'm here just thought i'd mention how much excellent info i've been given by everyone....thanks very much

I agree with you all. I've bought good wholesaler lists and some mediocre ones. The Salehoo database is OK, and helpful, but the forums are the most helpful part of the Salehoo site. You can learn a lot more in these forums than you can by looking at any wholesale database alone, no matter how good that database may be. I've learnt heaps from people in these forums!
