You might have to provide a few more details for anyone to be of much help.

Where are you shipping from?
What are you shipping?
The size of the load?
How will it be shipped, air, sea?

sorry - novice - shipping from USA to Australia about 50lb - clothing - don't care how it's shipped - by stork if necessary.

Perhaps check with your supplier?

@marina: USPS is usually the cheapest way to get things shipped from the US. If you know the dimensions of the package, you can use their shipping calculator to check the cost.

Unfortunately once you get over 20lbs, the price does go up quite a lot.

Thank you so much Grace for getting back to me. I have since found a much more economical way of shipping to Aus. As I mentioned to Richelle, I ordered a package of clothing for $550 and shipping for $270 just blew it out of the water... I'm a single mum, working full time, mortgage bla bla .. and I'm trying to find a way to make money to replace the current job I have. Not looking for millions, just the same... but I digress... I found a way and it's fantastic. By the way, I absolutely love what you guys have done to access a global trade, otherwise closed to the general public. Congratulations on an excellent initiative.

Really pleased to hear you've found a cheaper shipping option - $270 is a heck of a lot! I'd be interested to learn what it was if you are able to share?

Thanks for the feedback on SaleHoo as well. It's great to hear you are enjoying the service! Please let us know if we can help you with anything else :)

Thank you - I'm sure I'll be asking a lot along the way. I found an international forwarding service myUS.com - you join - pay a fee - and obviously they have a greater buying power because they can ship for $188 - which is signficant. And now puts me back in the game.

Oh brilliant - and mail forwarding services can also be handy if you want to use a US supplier that doesn't offer international shipping. You can get them to send the merchandise to the US address and then have it forwarded to you in Australia.

All the best :)

Another option you can try is interparcel. They are a shipping brokerage based in the UK, but I'm pretty sure they do have carriers that do ship from the US.

They will always get you a better shipping price from a carrier than you are able to get yourself by going to them direct.

If you do want to go with a mail forwarder, just Google US Mail Forwarders and you'll find plenty of options to choose from. Just make sure you get a package that suites your requirements.
