Good Morning

I hope there is someone from South Africa on this Forum...I just need some hints and tips about importing to South Africa?
Especially Customs because as i understand the customs process in South Africa is such a drag..
I want to start dropshipping to customers here but its quite hard determining the time and giving correct shipping time because of customs..
Any way i can get some control of this process?Has anyone used a customs broker or did anything to make the process easier?
Even if you are not from South Africa, any input about this subject would very much be appreciated

Regards

Hi Hendrick,

I know we have some South African members around, however you might find some useful information on the SARS site in regards to Customs questions that you might find helpful.

I recently shipped 2 lots of handbags to Maputo, Mozambique from Texas....For me an exporter from US, the process was relatively simple. The customer did state though that it took a while to get through local customs & delivery. In essence, what was supposed to take 1 week took over 4 weeks for him to receive the goods...
