Hi Everyone!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post/question, I am new to all this and its getting pretty overwhelming so any help would be greatly appreciated! I recently found a liquidator on Salehoo (Link hidden: Login to view) and am very interested in dealing with them. But before I jump in and make a bunch of costly mistakes I wanted to ask.

1) Has anyone worked with this liquidator? your thoughts?
2) I am from Canada and I don't know what kind of tarriffs, duties, taxes I would need to pay as this will take away from any profits, is anyone familiar with importing into Canada and the costs involved? I am looking at 50 to 70lb of apparel goods.

Thank you again for your time everyone, I really appreciate it!!

T

Liquidation.com is not a liquidator, it is a liquidation clearance auction site.

The people listing their items for auction are all independent, and therefore you should research each one well before placing a bid.

Plenty do OK from sourcing through the site, however plenty do not!

When you are choosing to buy liquidated products at an auction price rather than a set price, you really should make sure you know the type of stock you are bidding on, and the true value of the stock or you are running the risk of buying garbage, or paying above market value.

If you research the stock, research the price by seeing what real liquidators are selling it for, and then ensure you are dealing with a trustworthy seller, then you will be in a much better position to make sure you get the best deal!

The other key factor you need to take into consideration is the shipping price, and this site is well known for having some of the worst shipping prices out there, so even if you win the lot at a great price, shipping can still burn you!

fudjj, Richelle,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my post. Much Appreciated! guess sourcing a good supplier is not as easy as I thought. On another not I did contact the custom brokers although there is added costs for using them, I want to make sure my goods get across the border with no hassle. Hopefully I will eventually learn the ins and outs and can start shipping across border myself.

Again, Many thanks for your help!

No problems, can be a few traps to get around, but once you know where they all are, life gets a lot easier. So feel free to ask anything further to bring yourself up to speed, plenty here are always happy to help out where possible.

:)
