Hi All,

I am new to SaleHoo. I would like to try my hand at dropshipping. But I need help with a few things. I read a lot on these topics and honestly the information that is available is overwhelming. Can some one please help with these questions?

1. Many suppliers are asking for Reseller's ID. Is this same as State sales tax permit?
2. I live in Colorado. If I sell products on Amazon to customer that are not in Colorado do I need to collect taxes in that state? or should I collect them in Colorado?

I am sure these questions may have been asked before but I would really appreciate if someone can answer one more time for me. especially the 2nd questions.

Thanks
Sarath

Hi Sarath and welcome to the forum,

A Reseller's ID is just a tax id to prove you are a registered business. In regards to Colorado tax regulations, you can call the Colorado Revenue Service on (303) 238-7378 and they will be able to outline your tax obligations within that state for you.

Cheers

Hi Cory and welcome to the forum,

It depends what country you are sourcing from, within Australia and you will need your ABN if dealing wholesale, but internationally suppliers usually won't require. If they still request it, then your ABN will do the job for you.

Regarding dropshipping, some may request it, but most usually won't. Same rules as above.

Cheers

Hi Adam and welcome to the forum,

The lab results generated are US based only at the current time, but do serve as a general guide across all eBay platforms.
