Hello everyone,

I am new to Salehoo and also in selling online. Like most of you, I am looking to buy in Asia. I am interested in buying electronics, such as iPods, PSP, PS3, Xbox, Laptops and accessories. Everyone knows that it there is a risk in buying overseas, mostly because of the payment methods those companys request.

The reason for this post is that I know a guy in China. I meet him in a forum, I don't remember which one. Mayby Tradekey.com or Alibaba.com. He works for Link hidden: Login to view they sell powertools.

We started chating online together about doing business overseas.
I asked him if he knew a legit company in China, that sells electronics for a good price. His answer was no. Because it is difficult to find companys that sells genuine products for a good price.
So he looked around for me and the results were amazing.
So the price for an iPod video 30GB is $262
An ipod nano 4GB $180
For a PSP Value Pack $235
You notice that they are pretty expensive, right?
So he said that it is almost impossible to find good prices where a profit can be made.
If someone had the chance to find a reliable supplier and for a good price, you know what would happen?
The US costums would take the merchandise because it is fake and the money is gone.
So he told me to stay away form chinese suppliers and to buy in the US.
Also most of the companys that have a MOQ of 20-30 units and where you can get an ipod for $50 or $100 less in the US, you can be sure that they are fake.
He said that it is impossible to get those products in China for the price that most website have. SO they are scammers or they aren't genuine.
So the only way to make a profit in buying from China, is to buy at least 100units and you have to be sure that they are 100% genuine. So the only way to find out is to go overthere and check by yourself.
I don't know about you, but I believe that guy. SO I will stay away from them and start looking to buy in Bulk in the US.

Guys, if you still want to order in China, don't send money over Western Union or Bank Transfer because your money will be gone.
Just pay over Escrow.com or Paypal and if they don't accept it just let it go and look for another supplier. Don't spend any dime if you aren't sure about that company

I hope that this post will help some of you in their decisions.
I got scammed 2 times. 1 time in Indonesia and 1 time in China for a total of $200. So I really don't want to lose money again.

I know, me too

Everyone is waisting time to find a supplier and I don't think that it is possible to find one where you can make real profits. Better buy in the US and be safe. I really believe that guy, why should he lie to me? I mean, I am not buying from him anyways because he doesn't sell what I am looking for.

I think I will keep buying in the US and when I have more money, I just buy a big lot here in the US and make profit then, at least I will know where my money is going

The only way to find actuall good deals is to catch a product at a HUGE hype. To make money on a steady bases, you would have to settle for low profits and make up on quantity or find some REALLY good deal that is legit. that is what everyone is looking for

Hi Nando! Do you think you can ask this guy about David Chen of Putian Seven-Degree Footwear & Trade Co., LTD if they are Legit? They said that they are authorized to sell nike product and he also send me a copy of certificate stating that they are authorized. Can you ask if they are legitimate and sells authentic nikes? Thank you!

How did you meet him? Does he own a business or is he an individual. If I ask my friend to call him, your guy will tell him the same as he told you. If there is no website and business information there is nothing he can do. Is the authorization in chinese? If yes, send it to me and I will send it to my friend.
But I think that your guy is trying to scam, usually those authorizations are just for companys.

In general I can agree partly to nando.
It is difficult to find a legitimate supplier for consoles etc. in China / Asia with good prices.
I am speaking of first hand experience as I'm retailing and wholesaling myself.

But what I experienced is that so far I haven't found any US / Canadian based wholesaler for videogames with good prices. I currently buy US videogames (genuine of course) from other wholesalers in Asia and they are cheaper than US / Canadian based wholesalers. That can't be right, can it?
