Hi dear friend, i have visited your web site, but i didn`t see the time of delivery. I would like to know how much time a console game arrive to brazil with all shipping methods.
Thanks for your attention

Hi Leo,
we ship all orders the next business day after they are received. Our customers typically have us ship USPS first class international for small 1 or 2 item orders and fedex for larger orders. There is no tracking or delivery confirmation for USPS first class international so keep that in mind. We strongly recommend fedex for reliability, trackability and security. As to shipping times that is really hard to say for sure. We have no control over that. I would estimate 10-14 days for USPS first class international and 3 days for FEDEX international priority. Thank you, Rich Moser, Computer Gallery.

Hi

I would love to sell Wii, Xbox and Sony PS goodies, I know allot about the products themselves but, I just cannot seem to find a wholesaler on the net selling cheaper than Ebay, I am as such having to buy my products and drop ship via Ebay, at least I know, they must deliver the goods and the real thing if they say it is original, although, I got bitten twice by it is authentic and then they classify authentic as OEM, goods back to me and a refund with bad feedback, damn, I wish I could find plenty of these. Your web is great for PC or Laptop, not much for Wii, Xbox or playstation?

Let me know if the message above will challenge you?

Hi,

We get asked this question all the time.... "why don't you guys carry more console games". The problem with console games is buying them at a price where we can make a profit and our reseller can make a profit. It is very difficult. The console market is completely different than the PC game market (as far as sourcing product). There are several value software publishers in the UK and Europe where we can buy classic PC game titles and import them into the U.S. That is our best selling category of titles. The games are in demand, you cannot find them in stores anymore, and the packaging is great for shipping. The console game market just does not work like that. There is almost no margin in new console games. If we buy them and they don't sell quickly then we will loose alot of money as the selling price drops. There is little upside and lots of downside to selling new console titles. We are always on the lookout for value priced console titles. Sometimes we buy them though summertime publisher auctions but you have to buy them by the 1000's to get them at a good price. Sometimes we can buy closeout stock but you have to be very careful to not buy used looking re-wrap product that I see alot of people selling. We only buy product that our supplier will guarantee comes factory wrapped.

We would love to carry more console games but the bottom line is if we and our reseller cannot make any money selling them then there is no point to it. That said, however, we will certainty bring them in when we can find pricing that makes sense.

Thank you

Hi

Hi

Thank you for your reply and quick thesis as to why it does not get sold by yourselves. Must say, I never really liked PC games only because using keyboard or mouse as controls were boring. Maybe you can educate me on the games for PC’s and of course, the controls and extras used to make it fun. Is this not why Xbox exists?
If you can elaborate a little on the matters above, I am sure my thinking will change and maybe I could test it for myself.

Alan, you are totally missing the point to all this. Who cares what you like or I like. I'm assuming your in this business to make money? You have to set you personal bias aside and focus on finding products that you can money at. I've been in this business for 20 years now. I stated by selling floppy disc shareware at computer shows. Over the years we have tired hardware, dvd movies, pc software, ink cartridges, all the various console platforms and probably other things I can't even remember. The bottom line for us is that PC software has always sold the best. I like console games better (less problems, larger market, easier to ship) but that does not matter what I like. We sell way more PC software so that is what we focus on. That is what sells so that is the only thing that matters.

Hi Rich,

Nice to have you on board here at SaleHoo, and I'm enjoying reading your posts.

I deal in the video games market in Australia myself (retail only), but I know exactly what you're saying in regards to why your focus isn't on console games. It's good to see a supplier actually communicating such points on the forum so our members do get a grasp of what business is like from the suppliers point of view.

Good education for everyone.

Your point to Alan is of course spot on. I don't really enjoy eating pickled Yak's ear all that much, not that I ever have, but I assuming I wouldn't lol. That said, if there were plenty that did enjoy it, I would be looking for a supply avenue to cash in on it.

I've sold all sorts of things in my life lol, some I loved, some I hated, and others that I was completely embarrassed by lol, but business is business.

: )

Cheers

Hi Marc,

I really like your website. Lots of good information and discussion here. The user forum is great thing. We see quite a few resellers register with us that mention they found us from Salehoo so I really appreciate that.

I'll continue to monitor the forum and chime in when I can offer useful information

Thank you,

Rich Moser

Guys

Sorry I have been in Cape Town watching the soccer world cup. Anyway, point taken fully and totally, learning is a good thing and at the age of 40, I am still at University with the 4th Post Graduate degree, as a CPA, you never know enough I find. Anyway, enough of that.
“Maybe you can educate me on the games for PC’s and of course, the controls and extras used to make it fun. Is this not why Xbox exists?” What I meant was, I never liked it, and I am stupid with it, please educate me, not, I do not want to sell them, I do, money is money and I need to know more about is all.
I have started to do some R&D on PC games and PC stuff so I can educate myself on it and then, when I need info, I am will definitely look you up for advice and use you as a source for supply.
Thanks you all!

Hi,

Here is a couple of pros and cons about selling pc software from our point of view.

pros:

1. You can sell pc software worldwide without having to worry about NTSC/PAL and region encoding like you have to watch out for on console games. Careful with PC MMO games though, as sometimes they will only work with servers in the area of the world where they are produced.

2. From our point of view we have more sources of pc software at low prices than console games. I think PC software is really a better value. As console games gain market share it is harder to find some of the slightly older titles in retail stores so it is a good fit for the mail order business.

cons of PC software:

1. you will see more tech support issues vs console games. That is just going to be the case with the variety of PC operating systems and hardware configurations.

2. PC software is a declining market vs console games. I think it will be good for several years yet, but inevitably console games and digital media distribution in general will continue to cut into pc software sales.

To summarize, our business is 90% pc software. I would like it to be 90% console games but we stock what sells and PC software is what we have the best success with.

Another thing I would offer is where our Resellers make their sales. 95% of our Reseller sales are on Amazon and Ebay. It is interesting that most of the phone calls we get are from people building their own website or buying a prepackaged website (with our product data) from a 3rd party. We see very very few sales from people trying sell only off a website. It is good to have a website to supplement Amazon and Ebay sales but don't expect to make big sales off of it (at least selling our type of product).

And one final thing I would offer is whoever you use as a drop shipper make sure they stock the product they sell, and make sure they have a phone number where you can call and talk to a real person.

Thank you

Mr Moser
I must say, you get fiction and non-fiction, you get study material supplied at schools and Universities, and then you get advice which I have just received from you, this is priceless knowledge, experience and expertise. You are really an asset to Salehoo and you add value to your store with expert knowledge, thank you!!
You and the Salehoo manuals which I have spent the majority of today reading have definitely changed my mind about selling video games as a niche, you have offered your assistance to boost my knowledge and from your comments, I see my R&D will be sourced from the best.

Kind regards
Alan
